| Abstract: | Esta dissertação se inscreve na área de concentração em Escrita Criativa e é dividida em duas partes: na primeira, uma obra de ficção e na segunda, um ensaio reflexivo. Narrada em primeira pessoa, a novela Antonia na cidade acompanha a jornada de Antonia, protagonista, após ter a sua vida alterada em consequência do suicídio de sua irmã mais velha. A personagem se vê desamparada em um grande centro urbano, precisando resolver as questões burocráticas relacionadas à morte e, ao mesmo tempo, tentando desvendar os motivos que ocasionaram a morte trágica da irmã. O ensaio acompanha as questões relativas ao processo criativo, além de propor a reflexão sobre a metáfora da água, elemento recorrente em Antonia na cidade. Para tanto, utiliza das teorias de Gaston Bachelard sobre o imaginário da água.
This dissertation falls within the area of concentration in Creative Writing and is divided into two parts: the first, a work of fiction and the second, a reflective essay. Narrated in first person, the novel Antonia in the City accompanies the journey of Antonia, the protagonist, after her life changed as result of her oldest sister's su-icide. The character sees herself helpless in a large urban center, in need of solv-ing the bureaucratic issues related to her death and, at the same time, she tries to unravel the reasons that led to the tragic death of her sister. The essay follows issues related to the creative process, and proposes a reflection on the metaphor of water, a recurring element in Antonia in the City. To do so, the theories of Gaston Bachelard on the imaginary of water are used. |
