| Abstract: | Por serem reconhecidos como locais singulares para as empresas se instalarem, os parques tecnológicos atraem a atenção das universidades ou dos institutos de pesquisas, dos governos e da iniciativa privada. Entretanto, não se sabe ao certo se eles realmente proporcionam benefícios aos seus inquilinos. Esta dissertação pretende colaborar para essa temática, procurando identificar quais as contribuições proporcionadas pelo Parque Tecnológico da PUCRS – TECNOPUC – e como elas influenciam os fatores competitivos das empresas, neste caso, as empresas do setor de TI que nele estão instaladas. Para isso, utilizou-se como base a bibliografia existente sobre o assunto e um framework desenvolvido para analisar os fatores competitivos das empresas alvo da análise. A pesquisa classifica-se como exploratória, dividindo-se em duas fases. A primeira consiste em sete entrevistas presenciais, semiestruturadas, com os gestores das empresas de TI do Parque. A segunda parte consiste na aplicação dos questionários, confeccionados com base nos achados da primeira fase, também respondidos pelos gestores das empresas, através de um link enviado por e-mail, com o objetivo de reforçar os resultados obtidos inicialmente. Foram respondidos onze questionários e, através deles, reforçaram-se os resultados da pesquisa como um todo. Considerando-se que um dos principais objetivos dos parques tecnológicos, em tese, é a colaboração entre academia, empresas e governo, com a criação de um ambiente de cooperação, assim como a formação de redes entre estes atores, não se identificaram, como sendo uma relação forte, tais características no TECNOPUC.Os resultados deste trabalho fornecem uma visão de como o TECNOPUC favorece a competitividade das empresas nele instaladas, apontando como ocorre esse processo. Sob a perspectiva dos gestores das empresas de TI, o Parque favorece as empresas, principalmente, através dos benefícios identificados como: recursos humanos, infraestrutura, status por estarem instaladas no parque, localização e logística e ambiente de inovação com novas oportunidades de negócios. Através desses resultados, novas estratégias podem ser adotadas, buscando atender os objetivos principais propostos pelo Parque. O instrumento desenvolvido nesta pesquisa pode ser utilizado em outros parques tecnológicos, para se descobrirem quais as condições proporcionadas.
For being recognized as an exceptional local for companies to settle, technology parks attract the attention of universities or research institutes, government and private enterprise. However, it is not known, for sure, if they actually provide benefits to its tenants. This proposal aims to contribute to this theme, which seeks to identify the contributions offered by the Technology Park of PUCRS - TECNOPUC - and how it influence the competitive factors of firms, in this case IT sector industry installed. Achieving this, using as basis the existing literature on the subject and developed a framework for analyzing the competitive factors of the target company analysis. The research is labeled as exploratory in two phases. The first consists of seven interviews, semi-structured, with managers of IT companies in the Park. The second part consists of the questionnaires, which were made based on the findings of the interviews, also answered by managers of companies, through a link sent by email, with the aim of strengthening the results obtained initially. Eleven questionnaires were answered and, through them, stepped up the research results as a whole. Considering that one of the main goals of technology parks, in theory, is the collaboration between academia, business and government with the creation of an environment of cooperation and the formation of networks between these actors, these characteristics were not identified, as a strong relationship, in TECNOPUC.These results provide an overview of how the TECNOPUC favors the competitiveness of businesses located there, pointing out how this favoritism occurs. From the perspective of managers of IT companies, the Park encourages companies, mainly through the benefits identified as: human resources, infrastructure, status for being installed in the park, location and logistics and innovation environment with new business opportunities. Through these results, new strategies can be adopted, seeking to meet the main objectives of the proposed Park. The instrument developed in this research can be used in other technology parks, to find out what the conditions provided. |
