Imaginário político na pós-modernidade: mídia e narrativas sobre o comunismo em disputa nas eleições de 2014 no Maranhão

Abstract

Este trabalho analisa as expressões do imaginário político sobre o comunismo na mídia durante a eleição de 2014 no Maranhão, quando foi eleito o primeiro governador filiado a um partido comunista da história do Brasil. Partindo das reflexões teóricas que discutem as mudanças ocorridas nas narrativas políticas na pós-modernidade, esta dissertação considera a centralidade dos estudos sobre o imaginário para compreender a circulação de ideias, valores e sentimentos diante da esfera política nas sociedades contemporâneas. Apresentando as expressões deste imaginário político na mídia e as transfigurações eleitorais na pós-modernidade, este trabalho tensiona construção das narrativas midiáticas e a formação da opinião pública, observando os limites da intervenção dos aparatos midiáticos sobre as decisões eleitorais e ressaltando a relevância das dinâmicas do imaginário para a mobilização das ideias políticas. Considerando este ponto de vista teórico, são analisados quatro meses de noticiário e propaganda partidária para construir o cenário em que as disputas narrativas acerca do imaginário sobre o comunismo ocorreram, reunindo os principais temas e argumentações que reeditam, atualizam e ressignificam este imaginário histórica e socialmente constituído no país.

This research analyzes the communist political imaginary on media during the 2014 Maranhão’s election, when the first governor affiliated in a communist party wins an election in the Brazil’s history. From the theoretical view about changes in the political narratives’ changes in the post-modernity, this essay considers the importance of the imaginary’s studies for understand the sharing of ideas, values and emotions in the policial sphere in contemporary societies. Introducing this imaginary's expressions on media and the electoral transfigurations in the post-modernity, a parallel is made between the media narratives and the formation of public opinion, observing the limits of the mass media on the electoral decisions. The relevance of the concept and dynamics of the imaginary is also highlighted to understand the current political mobilization of ideas and values. Considering this theoretical view, the essay analyses the media narratives and party propaganda during four months. It build a scenery of narratives contests about communist imaginary, with the most important themes and arguments wich reissue, update and give new meanings to this imaginary observed in the national history and society.
