Grupo de estudos: uma alternativa para qualificar a prática construtivista interacionista nas séries iniciais do ensino fundamental

Abstract

Este trabalho buscou investigar e descrever a evolução de um grupo de estudos em relação ao entendimento e à prática do construtivismo. A metodologia de pesquisa empregada foi a pesquisa-ação. Inicialmente, foram organizados temas relacionados às características do construtivismo. Esses temas abordam: uma análise histórica das tendências pedagógicas desde a Antiguidade até o construtivismo interacionista de Piaget e Vygotsky; o grupo de estudos como uma alternativa para qualificar a prática construtivista nas séries iniciais do ensino fundamental, incluindo a leitura e a discussão sobre essa teoria; a relação dos conhecimentos prévios com a construção de novos conhecimentos, com vistas à aprendizagem significativa; o papel do aluno que se torna sujeito no processo ensino-aprendizagem e o do professor que, enquanto sujeito afetivo, assume o papel de pesquisador e mediador; o processo de construção do conhecimento e a avaliação desse processo. A pesquisa realizou-se numa escola particular do município de Santo Ângelo e integraram o grupo de pesquisa quatro professoras regentes de turma, uma monitora e a professora de Espanhol, ambas das séries iniciais do ensino fundamental. As ações desenvolvidas ao longo das reuniões do grupo de estudos consistiram na identificação dos conhecimentos prévios das professoras sobre o construtivismo, no relato de situações práticas da docência dos sujeitos de pesquisa, em leituras, em discussões sobre o entendimento teórico dos membros do grupo e na análise de suas práticas. Foram empregados, como instrumentos de pesquisa, depoimentos escritos sobre a prática construtivista coletados no início e ao término do processo de investigação, bem como as transcrições das gravações das reuniões do grupo de estudos. A investigação permitiu concluir que o grupo de estudos é uma importante situação de aprendizagem, de socialização de conhecimentos e de experiências.Além de proporcionar a motivação para a pesquisa, caracteriza-se como um espaço, no qual os sujeitos de pesquisa podem refletir sobre a própria prática, reavaliando o trabalho que realizam, buscando novas possibilidades para atender à diversidade da sala de aula e reconhecendo que o construtivismo contribui para superar o ensino tradicional. No entanto, exige desacomodação do aluno e do professor. O grupo de estudos atua como uma alternativa para qualificar a prática construtivista interacionista nas séries iniciais do ensino fundamental.

This work looked for investigating and describing the evolution of a group of studies related to the understanding and to the practice of constructivism. The research methodology used was the research-action one. Initially, themes related to the constructivism characteristics were organized. These themes talk about: a historical analysis of the pedagogical tendencies from the Antiquity to Piaget and Vygotsky’s interactionist constructivism, the group of study as an alternative to qualify the constructivist practice in the initial grades of Elementary School, including the reading and discussion about this theory, the relation of the previous knowledge with the construction of new knowledge, with the purpose of achieving a meaningful learning: the student’s role that becomes subject in the learning-teaching process and the teacher’s, who, while affective subject, assumes the researcher’s and mediator’s role, the process of knowledge construction and the evaluation of this process. The research was held in a private school located in the city of Santo Ângelo and four conductor teachers, a monitor and the Spanish teacher, both from the initial grades of elementary school. The actions developed throughout the group of study meeting consisted in the identification of the teachers’ previous knowledge about the constructivism, in the report of the research subjects practical situations of teaching, through readings, in discussions about the theorical understanding and in the analysis of their practices. Written reports about the constructivist practice collected in the begining and in the end of the investigation were used as instruments of research, as well as the record of the group of studies meetings transcriptions. The investigation allowed to conclude that the group of studies is an important situation of learning, knowledge and experiences socialization.Besides providing the motivation for the research, it can be characterized as a space, in which the subject of research can reflect about his own practice, reevaluating the work they do, looking for new possibilities to attend to the classroom diversity and recognizing that the constructivism contributes to overcome the traditional teaching. However, it demands the teacher and the students’ disacommodation. The group of studies acts as an alternative to qualify the constructivist-interactionist practice in the Elementary school initial series.
