Educar pela pesquisa na pré-escola: a concretude na educação matemática para além do visível e do manipulável

Abstract

A dissertação Educar pela pesquisa na pré-escola: a concretude na educação matemática para além do visível e do manipulável relata e analisa a evolução de um grupo de professoras que se dispôs à reflexão-ação-reflexão sobre atividades matemáticas pré-escolares realizadas em sala de aula. A investigação foi feita em uma escola privada de Porto Alegre, que oferece Educação Infantil, Ensino Fundamental e Médio, envolvendo a participação de cinco professoras - incluindo a coordenadora da Educação Infantil e as professoras atuantes no Jardim de Infância níveis A e B - e a pesquisadora. O trabalho foi elaborado numa abordagem qualitativa, sendo a pesquisa-ação a opção metodológica adotada. O objetivo principal da pesquisa foi investigar a concretude do educar pela pesquisa na matemática préescolar para além do visível e do manipulável. O desenvolvimento da proposta aconteceu na conciliação entre as intenções da pesquisa e o desejo do grupo de professoras em rever seu fazer docente em sala de aula. Foram realizados encontros sistemáticos com as professoras e a pesquisadora, em um “grupo de aprendizagem”, durante um período de oito meses, para estudo de textos, relatos, gravações e transcrições produzidas, participantes na investigação.As reflexões e os projetos de trabalho produzidos ao longo do desenvolvimento dos encontros do grupo de aprendizagem apontam para o educar pela pesquisa na pré-escola como uma proposta concreta para o ensino e aprendizagem de Matemática, evidenciando a necessidade de uma melhor compreensão do que significa “aprender e ensinar Matemática no concreto”, a fim de entender os movimentos de aprendizagem que acontecem nos professores e nos alunos no educar pela pesquisa. Além disso, este trabalho mostra tanto a importância de um espaço de reflexão-ação-reflexão para a capacitação docente, como a possibilidade de uma transformação no fazer docente de forma diferenciada, o que determinou o crescimento do grupo no que diz respeito à valorização das diferenças individuais e ao respeito às singularidades de alunos e professores. Ao se permitirem refletir sobre sua prática docente, planejar mudanças para a mesma e avaliá-la a partir da vivência do educar pela pesquisa, as professoras refletiram sobre o aprendizado de conviver com as incertezas quanto a um currículo que é construído a partir das demandas do contexto e revelaram a alegria de poder enfrentar tais dificuldades nas atividades e nos projetos de trabalho. O conjunto das atividades desenvolvidas pelas professoras no grupo de aprendizagem ajudou a superar as práticas existentes e avançar na compreensão de sua prática docente e de si mesmas. Finalmente, este estudo também mostra que, como conseqüência de um trabalho reflexivoprático- reflexivo de professoras e alunos a partir do educar pela pesquisa, é possível conferir concretude à educação matemática pré-escolar para além do visível e do manipulável.

The dissertation Educate through the research in the kindergarten: the consolidation in the mathematics education through and beyond the visible and the manipulate relates and analyses the evolution of a group of teachers that started thinking about reflection-action-reflection in mathematics activities done in class. The investigation was done in a private school of Porto Alegre, that has Kindergarten, Primary and High School, involving the participation of five teachers – including the coordinater of the Kindergarten and the teachers of the Kindergarten levels A and B – and the researcher. The paper was done in the qualitative approach, being the researchaction the method adopted. The main aim of this research was investigate the consolidation of educate through the research in the mathematics kindergarten through out the visible and the manipulate. The development of the proposal happened in the conciliation among the intentions of the research and the wish of the teachers in review their teaching in class. It was done meetings between the teachers and the researcher, in a “learning group”, during a period of eight months, to study texts, reports, records and transcriptions done by the participating in the investigation.The thinkings and the projects of work developed during the learning meetings show to educate through the research in the Kindergarten like concrete proposal to the teaching and learning Mathematic, showing the necessity of a better comprehension of meaning “learning and teaching Mathematic by the concrete”, to understand the learning the happens in the teachers and in the students to educate through the research. Besides, this paper shows the importance of have time to reflection-action-reflection to capacity teachers, with the possibility of transform their way of teaching, determining the growing of the group concerning the differences about students and teachers. Enable reflecting about the way of teaching, planning changes to the classes and evaluation them from the educate through the research, the teachers thought about the doubts in the subjects that is build from the context and reveal the happiness in face difficults in the activities and projects of work. All activities developed by the teachers in the learning meeting helped them with the way of teaching in class and improved the comprehension themselves. Finally, this paper also shows that, a reflective-practicereflective work of the teachers and the students from the educate through the research, is possible give concrete to the Mathematics Kindergarten Education through and beyond the visible and manipulate.
