The research work developed in this Master‟s thesis investigates the possibilities of using the technique of folding called Origami to support the teaching of Geometry, using a Blog as an extension of classroom activities specially created as an articulator of the proposed methodology. This site aimed at allowing the record of interactions between teacher and students and also students of one another. For this research we developed a methodological approach based on creating activities using concrete and virtual materials, which were associated teaching strategies that sought to provide mathematic teachers in the 7th grade of elementary school an alternative to working contents of Plane Geometry considering different from a traditional approach, since it proposes to study the elements of the 2D space from the observation of the 3D space. This study demonstrated the possibility of interaction between subjects, cooperative and collaborative work, through the use of Blog, this element being a supporter of the activities outside the classroom. It is evident that the virtual space in Blog helped to expand the network of new knowledge developed in the classroom and the students‟ contribution helped the development of their self-esteem and autonomy. The results obtained with this proposal indicate that the creation of methodological proposals that include the communication resources used by this digital generation associated with concrete materials facilitate the understanding and study of the students, in addition to facilitate and closer communication between themselves and the class with the teacher.en_US
