The data was analyzed, interpreted and categorized according to the technique of Content Analysis following Bardin’s approach. Final considerations: For most of the participants talk about menopause in their lives was a return to their past, a search in memory. These aspects include learning ways to describe their body perceptions, difficulties faced by them, their feelings with the menstruation interruption, their body’s signals, perceived changes by them, their sexuality life, the medicalization of their bodies and those who operated and its effects, such as completion of hysterectomy. For other participants, the menopause is still a current experience, with a combination of desire and fear, and nebulous experiences, within an unfinished development. During the woman life, body and menopause have intermingled and combined among themselves different societies and cultures.
