| Resumen: | Esta tese apresenta o desenvolvimento e as conclusões de uma investigação sobre a formação, a dinâmica e a consolidação do campo cinematográfico rio-grandense, notadamente centrado nas atividades exercidas na cidade de Porto Alegre ao longo do século XX. Os objetivos específicos do trabalho foram a identificação das condições sociais e intelectuais de emergência do campo cinematográfico rio-grandense a partir das posições e tomadas de posição estabelecidas pelos agentes dominantes do campo: os cineastas. A análise das diferentes condições e heranças - origens e trajetórias sociais –, que implicam em afinidades, tensões e adaptações aos diferentes espaços sociais que se relacionam com os indivíduos em questão (associações, empresas, meio acadêmico, meios de comunicação, universo cultural).E a investigação dos valores em disputa, das diferentes lógicas, esferas de atuação, estratégias de compatibilização e adaptação, e das diferenciações e oposições na relação de forças interna ao campo, e, externamente, entre o campo cinematográfico (inclusive considerado num limite mais extenso, que contemple as questões de âmbito nacional e internacional), o campo político e o campo econômico.
This thesis presents the development and the conclusions of an investigation about the formation, the dynamics and the consolidation of the cinematographic field of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, mainly focused on activities performed in Porto Alegre during the 20th Century. The specific objectives of this work were the identification of the social and intelectual emergencies of the cinematographic field in Rio Grande do Sul since the positions and the taking of stance established by the dominant agents of the area: the filmmakers. The analysis of the different conditions and heritages - origins and social path -, which imply in affinities, tensions and adaptations to the different social spaces that relate themselves to the ones in question (associations, companies, academic field, media, cultural universe).And the investigation of the values in dispute, of different logics, spheres of activities, strategies of compatibility and adaptation, and the distinctions and opositions in the relation of internal forces of the area, and externally, among the cinematographic field (that is also considered in a larger limit, which includes the issues of national and international scope), the politic field and the economic field. |
