| Resumo: | Este trabalho apresenta o estudo desenvolvido sobre os sítios arqueológicos de assentamentos fortificados ibero-americanos no século XVIII na região Platina Oriental. Buscando uma interpretação geral sobre o conjunto das evidências reveladas nas pesquisas arqueológicas, privilegiamos a análise dos tipos de estruturas presentes nesses sítios. Para fins comparativos, contemplamos tanto os assentamentos portugueses quanto os espanhóis. Sendo assim, elegemos os sítios arqueológicos e históricos de São Miguel, Santa Teresa, Gorriti e Santa Tecla. Além das fortificações da ilha de Santa Catarina, Colônia de Sacramento e os demais estabelecimentos no Rio Grande de São Pedro. Inicialmente demonstramos a influência de Sebastian Le Preste Vauban na construção desses estabelecimentos fortificados. Realizamos uma análise técnico-tipológica e funcional do sistema defensivo moderno e suas variantes e outra, relativa aos estabelecimentos intramuros e extra-muros que se integravam a esses locais. Com isso, tivemos a finalidade de, pelo viés da cultura material, observar in mente as idéias, os gestos e as práticas cotidianas nesses assentamentos ibero-americanos.
This assignment presents the study developed about archeological sities of iberoamerican fortificated settlements in the 18th century at the Oriental Platina region. In search or a general interpretation on the whole evidences which were reveled through the alcheological and historical reserches, we set priority the analysis of the structures there were at those places. In order to comparise, we considered many portuguese as spanish settlements. So we chose the archeolocial and historical sities of São Miguel, Santa Tereza, Gorriti and Santa Tecla. Besides the fortifications of Santa Catarina Island, Colônia do Sacramento and the others settings at Rio Grande of São Pedro. At first we demonstrated Sebastian Le Preste Vauban influence upon buildings of these fortificated stablishments. We made a kind, technological and funcitonal analysis of modern defensive system and its variants. We also realized another analysis about the buildings inside and outside the walls that integrated with theses places. By this way, we had the target of, through the material culture, observe in mente ideas, gestures and daily parctices at ibero-american settlements. |
