Romance histórico contemporâneo: com a palavra, a mulher

Abstract

O presente trabalho investiga romances históricos contemporâneos brasileiros de autoria feminina, em que a mulher é destacada como campo de instauração de novos significados, questionando convenções que lhe atribuíam um papel secundário na história do Brasil colonial e imperial. Após resgatar o passado, analisar a representação das personagens femininas e as características das obras, tentar-se-á ligar os pontos que unem as três narrativas históricas para mostrar as relações entre elas, tanto no que se refere aos procedimentos literários que estruturam as narrativas, quanto no que diz respeito à representação das personagens femininas, mostrar as características que os revelam como novo romance histórico, mas também analisar a transformação dos mitos femininos.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate contemporary historical novels by female authorship, in which women are highlighted as a field of instauration of new meanings, questioning conventions which were attributed as a second role in Brazil‟s colonial history. By bringing back the past, female characters representation points towards to a new novel typology of historical novel and it analyses the transformations of female myths.
