| Resumo: | Esta Tese insere-se no Grupo de Pesquisa Avaliação e Intervenção Psicológica no Ciclo Vital, coordenado pela Profa. Dra. Irani I. de Lima Argimon. Foi elaborada com a finalidade de conclusão do Doutorado em Psicologia pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul. Apresenta como objetivo estudar as relações entre os fatores psicossociais do trabalho, o ajustamento marital e a saúde. Para tanto, compreende seis estudos: dois teóricos e quatro empíricos. O primeiro estudo objetiva discutir a respeito dos pressupostos lançados pela Teoria da Borda e Teoria do Limite na interface trabalho e família. O segundo, aborda os principais conceitos da Teoria dos Papéis Sociais a partir da abordagem interacionista simbólica, baseada em Erwin Goffman, avaliando a importância de tais conceitos para a Psicologia Social. O terceiro, avalia as relações entre as demandas psicológicas do trabalho e a satisfação com o relacionamento marital. O quarto, verifica as relações entre trabalho, relacionamento marital e saúde. O quinto, examina as relações entre o ajustamento marital e saúde em profissionais da empresa privada de grande porte, a partir de duas hipóteses: há diferentes características de ajustamento marital; e este se relaciona com a saúde geral. O sexto, apresenta como propósito estudar as relações entre a insegurança no trabalho e a saúde psicológica em pessoas incluídas no mercado de trabalho formal brasileiro, em grandes empresas privadas. A partir desses estudos, considerações finais são discutidas a respeito da importância da centralidade das variáveis estudadas para o ciclo vital do adulto.
The present thesis is inserted in the Research Group Psychological Evaluation and Intervention in the Vital Cycle, coordinated by Prof. Irani I. de Lima Argimon, PhD. It is submitted for the award of doctoral degree in psychology by the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul. Its purpose is the study of the relations between labor psychosocial factors, marital adjustment and health. Therefore, it comprises six studies: two theoretical studies and four empirical studies, based on the relations between the variables studied and the theoretical aspects comprised by such variables. The first study is theoretical and aims at discussing the presuppositions established by the Border Theory in the work and family interface. The second study discusses the main concepts of the Theory of Social Roles from the symbolic interactionist approach, based on Erwin Goffman, assessing the importance of such concepts in Social Psychology. The third study, empirical, evaluates the relations between psychological demands at work and marital relationship satisfaction. The fourth study, also empirical, examines the relations between work, marital relationship and health. The fifth study examines the relations between marital adjustment and health in people in the formal labor market, who work in large companies, from two hypotheses: there are different characteristics of marital adjustment; and marital adjustment is related to general health. The sixth study aims at studying the relations between job insecurity and psychological health in people in the Brazilian formal market, who work in large private companies. The final considerations from these studies concern the importance of the centrality of the variables studied in the adult vital cycle. |
