| Abstract: | Esta dissertação é dividida em dois capítulos. No primeiro, discuto como a maternidade foi sendo constituída ao longo dos últimos tempos, em especial a partir do século XVIII, articulando-se aos processos políticos, econômicos e culturais de cada tempo e enredando as mães em uma trama discursiva que as envolve até hoje. Problematizo como o aleitamento materno foi tomado, ao longo desses anos, de diferentes maneiras, até o momento atual, onde ganha uma grande visibilidade em relação à saúde da criança. No segundo capítulo, por intermédio da análise dos folders e cartaz que fazem parte da Campanha da Amamentação, elaborada pela Sociedade Brasileira de Pediatria em parceria com o Ministério da Saúde, foco a atenção para as práticas de incentivo ao aleitamento materno na contemporaneidade. Nesse momento, discuto como se apresentam os discursos nesses materiais, e a forma como veiculam modos de ser mãe, pai e de como cuidar das crianças. Faço uso das ferramentas teórico-metodológicas de Michel Foucault, tomando como base seus conceitos de discurso e de enunciado, e dos conceitos provindos dos Estudos Feministas pós-estruturalistas. Com este estudo, percebo que a maternidade e suas práticas foram sofrendo modificações ao longo dos tempos e que, na atualidade, a mãe é posicionada discursivamente, por intermédio da prática do aleitamento materno, enquanto a principal responsável pela saúde e bem estar de seu(a) filho(a), tendo o dever de cuidá-lo(a) e nutri-lo(a). O pai ocupa um papel secundário nessa relação, estando incumbido, com o restante da sociedade, de garantir o sucesso dessa prática. A figura do especialista na área da saúde ganha destaque nesse contexto, apontado enquanto detentor do saber das práticas da amamentação, cabendo à mãe aderir aos seus ensinamentos em prol da saúde da criança.
This dissertation is divided into two chapters, the first, argues the way maternity is being discussed over the past years, especially since XVIII, articulating the processes of politics, economy and culture of each of these times, netting mothers in a discursive plot that involves them still in our days. I explore the ways that breastfeeding has been taken throughout the years in different ways until today, when it gains great visibility in relation to the health of children. On the second chapter it was made an analysis of folders and posters which were part of a breastfeeding campaign, elaborated by the Brazilian Society of Pediatrics in partnership with the Ministry of Health, focusing on the attention of the practices for the incentive of breastfeeding in our days. On this moment, I argue the ways in which the discourse on this material is presented and the ways in which the forms of being a mother are conveyed. I use the theoretical methodological tools of Michael Foucault taking as a base the concepts of discourse and enunciation and the concepts of post-feminist structuralist. With this study, I realize that maternity and its practices have been suffering modifications throughout the years, and in our days, the mother is positioned discursively, due to the practices of breastfeeding as the most important for health and the well being of the child, having to care and nurture for the baby as a duty. The father occupies a secondary role in this relation, being responsible with the rest of society to guarantee the success of such practice. The figure of the specialist in health practices gains important attention within this context, seen as the holder of knowledge in breastfeeding. It is than left for the mother to take on their knowledge for the sake of a healthy child. |
