Apoio social e resiliência no processo de adesão ao tratamento antirretroviral de moradores de rua que vivem com o HIV/AIDS

Abstract

Esta dissertação é apresentada em dois artigos. O primeiro se refere a uma revisão de literatura sobre os aspectos que fundamentam a presente pesquisa, na qual buscou-se discutir as interfaces entre a adesão ao tratamento antirretroviral, o apoio social e a resiliência. Teve como objetivo investigar em revisão de literatura o papel do apoio social no processo de adesão ao tratamento antirretroviral em pacientes portadores de HIV/AIDS. Identificou-se também, as dimensões de apoio social que podem influenciar neste processo. O segundo artigo, referente ao estudo empírico é de natureza qualitativa, no qual foram entrevistados 10 indivíduos moradores de rua e portadores do HIV/AIDS. Os resultados e a discussão foram apresentados a partir do objetivo de investigar, a partir da perspectiva dos moradores de rua portadores do HIV, de que forma o apoio social influencia na adesão ao tratamento antirretroviral. Este estudo foi realizado no Programa de Saúde da Família - PSF – Sem domicílio do Posto de Saúde Santa Marta na cidade de Porto Alegre – RS. Os dados foram analisados através da metodologia da análise de conteúdo e os resultados apontam que o apoio social influencia positivamente o processo de adesão ao tratamento promovendo processos de resiliência em pessoas que vivem na rua. Neste estudo, pôde-se perceber que os moradores de rua dispõem de uma rede de apoio social emocional e o instrumental capaz de facilitar o desenvolvimento de processos de resiliência e de favorecer estratégias de enfrentamento da infecção pelo HIV.

In order to get the masters degree, this thesis will be presented in two articles, which follows the norms of the post-grad program of psychology at PUCRS. The first is a literature review about the aspects which give base to the present study and sought to discuss the interfaces between the adherence to antiretroviral therapy, the social support and resilience. The aim was to investigate the literature review on the role of social support in the process of adhesion of antiretroviral treatment in patients with HIV/AIDS. It has also been identified, the different dimensions of social support which can influence this process. The second article is referent to an empirical study, is a qualitative study, which interviewed 10 people, residents of the streets with HIV/AIDS. The results and the discussion were presented parting from the aim of investigating and from the perspective of the street people living with HIV, on what ways social support influences the adhesion of antiretroviral treatment. This study has been accomplished by the Programa de Saúde da Família – PSF (Program for the Health of Families), which are homeless at the health center of Santa Marta in the city of Porto Alegre, in the south of Brazil. The data has been analyzed by the methodology of content analyses and the results show that social support influences in a positive way the process of adhesion of treatment promoting resilience processes on people living on streets. On this study it can be perceived that people living on streets have a net of social emotional support and tools which are able to facilitate the development of resilience processes and favoring strategies of coping with the infection of HIV.
