Trabalho infantil: uma discussão no fio da navalha

Abstract

O estudo aqui apresentado é uma pesquisa de cunho qualitativo, baseada no método materialista histórico e dialético, que interroga como as questões socioeconômicas, políticas e culturais, nas famílias fumicultoras, criam condições para o trabalho precoce de crianças e de adolescentes na agricultura familiar no Município de Passo do Sobrado – RS. O objetivo principal é investigar como essas famílias reconhecem o trabalho infantil diante da necessidade de sobrevivência do grupo familiar e do processo de educação, socialização e repasse de valores culturais. Os objetivos específicos deste estudo subdividem-se em: conhecer os principais motivos que levam à inserção da mão-de-obra infantil em atividades voltadas ao trabalho na agricultura ou no trabalho doméstico, no contexto da fumicultura em Passo do Sobrado; desvendar como os significados atribuídos ao trabalho infantil contribuem para inserção de crianças e adolescentes na agricultura familiar; investigar como a família se relaciona no espaço doméstico e no espaço de trabalho, objetivando a sobrevivência e melhorias na renda familiar.

The study presented here is a stamp of qualitative research, based on historical and materialist dialectic method, which raises issues such as socioeconomic, political and cultural, on families fumicultoras, create conditions for the early work of children and adolescents in the family farming in the Passo do Sobrado - RS. The main objective is to investigate how these families recognise child labour before the need for survival of the family group and the process of education, socialization and repassing of cultural values. Specific objectives of this study is subdivided into: know the main reasons leading to the insertion of the workforce in activities geared to children working in agriculture or domestic work in the context of fumicultura in the Passo do Sobrado; unravel as the meanings Assigned to contribute to child labour insertion of children and adolescents in the family farming; investigate how the family is related in the domestic space and in the workplace, to the survival and improvements in family income.
