O trabalho do assistente social nos Centros de Atenção Psicossocial (CAPS) da região metropolitana de Porto Alegre

Abstract

O trabalho do assistente social nos CAPS é a questão central da presente tese que teve como objetivo refletir sobre os desafios que se apresentam ao trabalho do assistente social no cotidiano destes espaços sócio-ocupacionais. Para tanto, realizou-se uma pesquisa quanti-qualitativa, baseada no método dialético-crítico na perspectiva de reconhecer as contradições presentes nesse trabalho e de pensá-las além dos aspectos aparentes. Os sujeitos de pesquisa foram Assistentes Sociais que trabalham nos CAPS da região metropolitana de Porto Alegre, abrangendo 11 municípios. Para tanto, foram realizadas entrevistas semi-estruturadas com 10 Assistentes Sociais e esse material foi analisado a partir da técnica “análise de conteúdo” de Bardin. Os resultados dessa análise demonstram que a execução desse trabalho profissional é permeada por uma disputa de projeto da política de saúde mental, que embora o Serviço Social integre o processo de acesso ao cuidado em saúde, porém ainda encontra-se predominantemente vinculado a práticas conservadoras de atendimento. Nesse sentido, aponta-se a necessidade de primar-se pela fundamentação do trabalho profissional a partir dos princípios que compõe o projeto ético-político profissional, bem como de uma recusa de práticas vinculadas à concepção de ajuste dos sujeitos da política de saúde mental, recusando vertentes de análises terapêuticas e fragmentadas que demarcam esses espaços institucionais.

The Social Assistant work at the CAPS is the central question 0f the present thesis which had as objective to reflect about the challengers that present to the social assistant work in the quotidian of these socio-occupational spaces. For this, it was done a quantitative-qualitative research, based on the critic-dialectical method, in the perspective of to recognize the contradictions present in that work and of to think them beyond to the apparent aspects. The subjects of the research were Social Assistants that work at the CAPS of the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre, extending to 11 cities. For this, it was realized semi-structured interviews with 10 Social Assistants and that material was analyzed, using the “content analysis” technique, of Bardin. The results of this analysis demonstrate that this professional work execution is permeated by a quarrel of project of the mental health politic, and although the Social Service integrates the process of access to the health care, but it is still predominantly linked to attendance conservative practices. In this way, it is appointed the necessity of to stand out by the professional work support beginning from the principles that form the ethic-politic professional project, as well as of a refusal of practices linked to the conception of adjust of the politic mental health subjects, refusing thoughts of therapeutic and shattered that demarcate those institutional spaces.
