Compreensão leitora e consciência textual de textos narrativos em interface com o bem-estar: um estudo com pacientes psiquiátricos internados

Abstract

Este estudo buscou a elaboração e a aplicação de oficinas de compreensão leitora e consciência textual em uma perspectiva psicolinguística. Mais especificamente na coerência, na coesão lexical e na coesão gramatical em textos narrativos (fábula, crônica e mito) que pudessem promover o bem-estar (nos aspectos da motivação, da organização cognitiva e da integração) a pacientes psiquiátricos internados (diagnosticados principalmente com depressão). Ocorreu a aplicação dos pré e pós-testes de leitura e das oficinas de leitura; também foram correlacionados os dados demográficos e hospitalares dos pacientes, a aplicação dessas oficinas, os dados dos pré e pós-teste, os relatos dos oficineiros que atuam no projeto e os relatos dos pacientes. Os resultados indicaram, por meio das correlações de Pearson (0,52 e 0,55), que os pacientes tiveram um melhor desempenho no pós-teste (após a participação nas oficinas) que no pré-teste. Nos escores médios dos pré e pós-testes e das oficinas, os resultados demonstraram que, no geral, os pacientes que tinham um nível de escolaridade maior obtiveram escores médios mais elevados. Os resultados também indicaram que os pacientes que tiveram desempenho satisfatório nas oficinas em compreensão leitora também o tiveram em consciência textual.Na correlação dos escores médios das atitudes, da integração dos pacientes, da compreensão leitora e da consciência textual, os resultados mostraram que essas variáveis, ao serem trabalhadas em conjunto nas oficinas, podem ter contribuído com a promoção do bem-estar dos pacientes nos aspectos propostos. A aplicação do questionário para os oficineiros permitiu afirmar que as oficinas eram viáveis e puderam auxiliar na promoção do bem-estar. As percepções relatadas pelos pacientes sobre as oficinas foram ao encontro dos objetivos desta pesquisa, além de estarem ancoradas no referencial teórico que embasou o trabalho. Sendo assim, por meio da análise dos dados, sob a luz dos pressupostos teóricos, das percepções dos oficineiros, dos pacientes psiquiátricos internados, da aplicação das oficinas, dos pré e pós-testes e pelos dados demográficos e hospitalares dos pacientes foi mostrado o papel, a viabilidade, a aplicabilidade, os novos direcionamentos linguísticos e a boa aceitação das atividades na promoção do bem-estar, nos aspectos da motivação, da organização cognitiva e da integração, de pacientes psiquiátricos internados.

This current research aimed the elaboration and application of reading comprehension and textual awareness workshops in a psycholinguistic perspective. More specifically, in coherence, lexical cohesion and grammatical cohesion in narrative texts (fable, chronicle and myth) that could promote well-being (in the aspects of motivation, cognitive organization and integration) to psychiatric inpatients (mainly diagnosed with depression). There was the application of the reading pre and post-tests and the reading workshops; the patients' demographic and hospital data, the application of these workshops, the pre and post-tests data, the reports of the applicators who work on the project and the patients’ reports were also correlated. The results indicated, through Pearson's correlations (0.52 and 0.55), that the patients performed better in the post-test (after participating in the workshops) than in the pretest. In the mean scores of the pre and post-tests and the workshops, the results showed that, in general, patients with a higher level of education obtained higher mean scores. The results also indicated during the workshops that the patients who had satisfactory performance in reading comprehension, also had it in textual awareness.In the correlation of the mean scores of attitudes, patients’ integration, reading comprehension and textual awareness, the results showed that these variables, when worked together in these workshops, may have contributed to the promotion of patients' well-being in the proposed aspects. The application of the questionnaire for the applicators allowed to affirm that the workshops were viable and could assist in the promotion of the well-being. The perceptions reported by the patients about the workshops were in line with the objectives of the present research, in addition to being anchored in the theoretical framework that supported the study. Thus, through the data analysis, in the light of these theories, the perceptions of the applicators , the psychiatric inpatients, the application of the workshops, the pre and post-tests and the demographic and hospital data of the inpatients was shown the purpose, the feasibility, the applicability, the new linguistic directions and the good acceptance of these activities in the promotion of the psychiatric inpatients well-being in the aspects of motivation, cognitive organization and integration.
