| Resumo: | A morte é uma temática permeada por complexidades e as significações que assume para os homens são distintas. Desta forma, a manifestação da finitude humana no espaço televisivo oferece uma riqueza de possibilidades para investigações acadêmicas. As reportagens que abordam a morte no Jornal Nacional e no Jornal da Band são o foco desta pesquisa, que busca verificar que caracterização os dois telejornais dão à temática da finitude humana, na perspectiva do contexto da cultura das sociedades ocidentais contemporâneas. Preocupamo-nos também com a observação da caracterização dos mortos que tiveram espaço no jornalismo televisivo e na reflexão sobre a postura dos dois telejornais diante de pautas sobre a morte. A partir do suporte metodológico da Análise do Discurso de Linha Francesa, analisamos o funcionamento discursivo dos dois telejornais. O corpus de pesquisa foi composto por seis edições do Jornal Nacional e seis edições do Jornal da Band, as quais foram ao ar no período de 20 a 25 de outubro de 2008. Estiveram sob o olhar deste estudo todos os casos de morte apresentados nos telejornais que compõem o corpus.As edições têm como caso principal a cobertura da morte da adolescente Eloá Pimentel, que foi mantida em cativeiro por mais de cem horas, pelo ex-namorado, Lindemberg Alves, em Santo André – São Paulo, e foi alvejada por ele no desfecho do seqüestro, no dia 18 de outubro de 2008. Entre as nossas conclusões, ganha destaque a constatação de que a construção do discurso sobre a morte no Jornal Nacional e no Jornal da Band está abarcada na espetacularização, e que o telejornalismo tem se configurado como um espaço público para o choro da morte.
Death is a theme full of difficulties and the meanings differ to men in general. This way, the manifestation of human finitude on TV offers a lot of possibilities to academic investigations. The reports that address death in Jornal Nacional and in Jornal da Band are the focus for this research, that seeks to verify the characterization that each newscast give to the theme of human finitude, viewing the context of the culture of contemporary Western societies. Also worried about observation of the characterization of the dead people that had room in television journalism and the reflection on the attitude of the two newscasts unrehearsed on the death. From the methodological support from the Analysis Discourse of French Line, it was analyzed the discursive functioning of the two newscasts. The body of research was composed of six issues of Jornal Nacional and six issues of Jornal da Band in which were broadcasted in the period from October 20th to 25th, 2008. All cases of death presented on the evening news that make up the corpus were under the gaze of this study.The issues have as the main case the coverage of the death of the teenager Eloá Pimentel that was kept in captivity for more than a hundred hours by her ex-boyfriend, Lindemberg Alves, in Santo André – São Paulo and she was targeted by the outcome of the kidnapping, in October 18th, 2008. Among our conclusions, the highlight is the finding that the construction of speech about death on Jornal Nacional and Jornal da Band is embraced in spectacle, and that the telejournalism has been marked as a public space for the cry of death. |
