A relevância da educação financeira na formação de jovens

Abstract

Esta dissertação descreve a investigação realizada sobre a importância da Educação Financeira na formação dos jovens. A pesquisa buscou respostas à seguinte pergunta: de que modo o ensino de Matemática pode contribuir para a Educação Financeira no Ensino Médio? Os dados empíricos foram obtidos por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas com alunos do Ensino Médio e com profissionais atuantes na área financeira. A análise desses dados contribuiu para mostrar a importância da Educação Financeira no ensino de Matemática no ensino médio. Desse modo, o objetivo principal deste trabalho é compreender as iniciativas pedagógicas na área de Matemática que podem ser colocadas em prática com a clara intenção de qualificar a aprendizagem dos estudantes em relação à Educação Financeira, preparando-os para o futuro. O trabalho possibilitou perceber a importância da Educação Matemática para a formação associada à visão econômico-financeira dos alunos para que exerçam plena cidadania e organizem sua vida financeira.

This text describes the research into the importance of financial education in youth training. The research sought answers to the following question: how the teaching of mathematics can contribute to financial education in high school? Empirical data were collected through semi-structured interviews with high school students and professionals in the financial area. Analysis of these data helped to show the importance of financial education in mathematics teaching in middle school. Thus, the main objective of this study is to understand the educational initiatives in the area of the Mathematics Education that can be applied with the clear intention of classifying the students' learning in relation to financial education, preparing them for the future. This study contributed to understand the importance of the Mathematic Education associated to economic and financial vision of the students to exercise full citizenship and to organize your financial life.
