| Resumo: | Este estudo centrou-se na temática das novas tecnologias de Informática para uso na Educação (graduação) e, especificamente, no uso de planilha, comparando a convencional com a planilha on-line. A primeira planilha convencional foi lançada no final de década de 70, há quase 30 anos, e desde então outras planilhas surgiram no mercado disponibilizando novos recursos e melhorias. Recentemente (junho/2006), foi lançada a planilha on-line, que é acessada via um navegador (browser) e sem custo de aquisição. O objetivo deste trabalho foi realizar um comparativo entre esses dois tipos de planilha para o ensino de Informática nos cursos de graduação de Administração e Ciências Contábeis. Foram investigadas as vantagens, desvantagens, o grau de dificuldade e o tempo de resposta de cada planilha. Também, verificaram-se os conhecimentos prévios dos alunos, referente à Informática e planilhas. A amostra envolveu 116 alunos de graduação dos cursos de Administração e Ciências Contábeis, divididos em quatro turmas, de uma faculdade particular situada em Porto Alegre, RS. As principais vantagens da planilha on-line apontadas pelos acadêmicos foram: publicar na Internet e compartilhar com outras pessoas a distância; o fato da planilha estar disponível na rede e não depender de um sistema operacional específico e poder ser acessada de qualquer lugar, via Internet. As principais vantagens da planilha convencional, apontadas pelos alunos foram: agilidade, praticidade, simplicidade, facilidade; confiabilidade e rapidez nas respostas e por disponibilizar vários recursos. Concluiu-se que a planilha on-line pode ser usada na graduação, como ferramenta de ensino e aprendizado, para atender necessidades não contempladas pela planilha convencional.
This study was centered on the new informatics technologies for educational use (graduation courses), more specifically, on the use of spreadsheets, by comparing the traditional spreadsheet to the online spreadsheet. The first conventional spreadsheet was launched in the end of the 1970s, almost thirty years ago. Since then other spreadsheets have been launched on the market, making new resources and improvements possible. Recently, a new on-line spreadsheet, which is accessed through a browser and without any cost, was launched (June, 2006). The aim of this work was to perform a comparative study between these two types of spreadsheets to the teaching of computer science in Business Administration and Accounting graduate courses. This study investigated the advantages and disadvantages, the level of difficulty, and the response time of each spreadsheet. Students’ previous knowledge concerning computer science and spreadsheets was also verified. The sample was formed by 116 students from a Business Administration and Accounting graduate courses at a private college in POA, RS. divided in four different groups. According to academics, the main advantages of the online spreadsheet are its publishing on the Internet and the sharing of information with other people online because the spreadsheet is available in the net, does not depend on a specific operational system, and can be accessed anywhere through internet. The main advantages of the conventional spreadsheet are: agility, practicability, simplicity, facility; trustability, readiness of the answers, and the availability of a series of resources. It is concluded that the online spreadsheet can be used in graduation courses as tools of teaching and learning, in order to attend the necessities which are not contemplated by the conventional spreadsheet, but this does not mean that it should substitute the conventional spreadsheet. |
