| Abstract: | O presente trabalho tem por objetivo central investigar o conceito de Regras e a noção de seguir regras na obra Da Certeza de Wittgenstein para verificar a existência de mudanças significativas no pensamento do filósofo apresentada em Investigações Filosóficas que justifique a idéia de “terceiro Wittgenstein”. Se, do Tractatus à Investigações Filosóficas houve uma redefinição da natureza da gramática, de Investigações à Da Certeza, Wittgenstein redefiniu a extensão desta gramática. Com a redefinição da natureza da gramática, o filósofo propôs os “jogos de linguagem” e, como todo jogo esse também está associado à regras. Essas regras estavam abertas à inspeção, o qual conferia a elas uma arbitrariedade, elas não tinham contas a prestar à realidade, elas nada mais faziam do que determinar o significado e, por esse motivo, não eram responsáveis perante o significado. Já com a redefinição da extensão da gramática o que parece ser contingente ou parece proposições empíricas pode apresentar um status lógico e por isso também podem pertencer à gramática. Como todo jogo de linguagem que apresenta proposições empíricas ou fatos contingentes precisa ser encerrado ou transformado em um novo jogo, o jogador precisa recorrer à idéia de Weltbild para reestruturar as regras do novo jogo. Este trabalho propõe que com a noção de Weltbild é possível separar o que é empírico do que é aparentemente empírico e assim, poder estabelecer regras para que o jogo de linguagem aconteça.
The present dissertation aims to investigate the rules concept and the notion of following rules in the Wittgenstein’s On Certainty in order to verify the existence of substantive changes in his thought, as presented in his Philosophical Investigations, that allows to postulate the “third Wittgenstein” idea. If, from the Tractatus to the Philosophical Investigations, there was a reformulation of the nature of the grammar, from the Investigations to the On Certainty, Wittgenstein has reformulated the extention of this grammar. With the reformulation of the nature of the grammar, the philosopher has proposed the “language-games” and, as in each game, that is also associated with rules. Those rules could be inspected and this would give to them an arbitrarity; they were not dependent upon the reality, they only determinated the meaning and, therefore, they were not responsible for the meaning. On the other hand, with the reformulation of the extention of the grammar, what seems to be contingent or seems to be empirical propositions may present a logic status and, because of this, may also belong to the grammar. As each language-game that presents empirical propositions or contingent facts needs to be enclosed or transfomated into a new game, the player needs to turn to the notion of Weltbild in order to structurate again the rules of the new game. This dissertation proposes that, with the notion of Weltbild, it is possible to separate what is empirical from what seems to be empirical and, therefore, to set up rules so the language-game happens. |
