| Resumo: | O presente trabalho objetivou analisar as concepções de envelhecimento manifestadas por idosos que freqüentam as Oficinas de Inclusão Digital (15), que integram um Projeto Matriz de Pesquisa oferecido pela PUCRS, desenvolvido pelo Instituto de Geriatria e Gerontologia em parceria com a Faculdade de Educação da PUCRS. Para tanto, idosos voluntários socialmente ativos, que participam das oficinas pedagógicas, foram instrumentalizados para o uso da informática na elaboração de homepages, para que pudessem se valer delas para projetar no universo virtual, sua capacidade de expressar sua produção intelectual. O estudo foi realizado numa abordagem qualitativa de cunho interpretativo, utilizando-se principalmente as idéias de Kachar (2003), Kahn e Antonucci (1980), Neri (1991) e Tapia (1999). Os dados foram coletados pela análise das homepages elaboradas pelos participantes, sendo utilizada a análise de conteúdo de Bardin (2004) para identificar as categorias que permeiam as concepções de envelhecimento que os idosos registraram na homepage individual. A partir das análises de suas concepções constatou-se a presença das categorias biológica, psicossociocultural e educacional (aprendizagem). O computador se revelou também como instrumento com potencial para valorização social. Idosos participantes mencionaram que voltaram a se sentir úteis ao próximo, afirmando que o computador lhes permitiu o retorno à atividade produtiva e a vislumbrar novas perspectivas para o seu futuro. Conclui-se, pois, que o domínio da informática, na época atual, pode ser considerado uma ferramenta também com potencial para a valorização e reinserção social para idosos.
The present work objective had been to analyze the conceptions of aging revealed by aged people that participates in the Digital Inclusion Workshops (15), that integrate the Matrix Research Project offered by the PUCRS University, developed by the Institute of Geriatrics and Gerontology in partnership with the College of Education of PUCRS. For that matter, socially active ageing volunteers, who participate in the pedagogical workshops, had been empowered by means of learning the use of computer science in the elaboration of homepages, so that they could use them to project in the virtual universe their capacity to express their intellectual production. The study he was carried through in a qualitative approach of interpretative means, mainly using the ideas of Kachar (2003), Kahn and Antonucci (1980), Neri (1991) and Tapia (1999). The data had been collected by means of analysis of the homepage elaborated by each of the participants, using the content analysis of Bardin (2004) to identify the categories that permeate the conceptions of ageing that the aged ones had registered in their individual homepage. From the analyses of their conceptions it became evident the presence of such categories as biological, psycho-social-cultural and educational (learning). The computer is also disclosed as instrument with potential for social valuation. Aged participants had mentioned that they had felt useful to the next one again, affirming that the computer allowed them to return to productive activities and even glimpsing new perspectives for their future. One concludes, therefore, that the domain of computer science, at the present time, can also be considered a tool with potential for the aged people value and social reinsertion. |
