| Abstract: | O presente estudo está inserido na área de pesquisa da Psicolinguística e visou contribuir para os estudos sobre o uso das conjunções, consciência linguística e compreensão leitora. Teve por objetivos analisar o emprego de conjunções em situações lacunadas, sem disponibilização de alternativas de resposta e o emprego de conjunções em situações lacunadas, a partir de disponibilização de respostas; verificar o nível de consciência linguística dos sujeitos no emprego das conjunções e o nível de compreensão leitora dos sujeitos considerando as relações estabelecidas pelas conjunções; comparar/correlacionar os escores entre o emprego de conjunções em situações lacunadas a partir de alternativas disponibilizadas com os escores de emprego de conjunções em situações lacunadas sem disponibilização de alternativas; e por fim, correlacionar os escores entre o emprego de conjunções e o nível de consciência linguística (avaliados nas diferentes situações) e o nível de compreensão leitora. A pesquisa abrangeu alunos de 8ª série do Ensino Fundamental da rede privada do município de Porto Alegre, com amostra de 40 sujeitos. Para analisar o uso das conjunções, aplicou-se uma adaptação do teste Cloze, cujas lacunas deveriam ser preenchidas com as conjunções (grupo 1 recebera o teste sem disponibilização das alternativas e grupo 2, com disponibilização das alternativas de respostas).Para mensurar o nível de consciência linguística, foi usado o protocolo de justificativa. Para verificar a compreensão leitora, foi aplicado o teste verdadeiro ou falso cujas afirmativas foram elaboradas com base na relação estabelecida pelas conjunções no texto (sendo que a alternativa falsa deveria ser justificada). Os resultados mostraram que o grupo 2 empregou corretamente maior número de conjunções, comprovando que disponibilizar as possibilidades de preenchimento das conjunções no texto aumenta o índice de acertos. No que se refere à existência ou não de correlação entre o emprego de conjunções, o nível de consciência linguística e o nível de compreensão leitora, verificou-se que, em ambos os grupos, existem correlações e que a maior correlação está entre consciência linguística e o uso das conjunções. Assim, conclui-se que o trabalho enriquecedor e significativo na (e com) a Língua Portuguesa, no que se refere às conjunções, está em saber o professor explorar a consciência linguística dos seus alunos.
The current research is inserted in the area of Psycholinguistics and aimed to contribute to the studies regarding the usage of conjunctions, linguistic awareness and reading comprehension. The paper had as objectives to analyze the usage of conjunctions in gap filling situations, without providing alternative answers and the usage of conjunctions in gap filling situations proving possible answers; to verify the level of linguistic awareness of subjects in the usage of conjunctions and the level of reading comprehension of subjects having in mind the relations that conjunctions establish; to compare/correlate the scores between the usage of conjunctions in gap filling situations though the available alternative of answers; and at last, to correlate the scores between the usage of conjunctions and the level of linguistic awareness (evaluated in different situations) and the level of reading comprehension. The research included students from the 8th grade of Elementary school of a private institution of Porto Alegre, a total of 40 subjects were used for this paper. As a way to analyze the usage of conjunctions, an adaptation of the Cloze test was applied to students, in which gaps should be filled in with conjunctions (group 1 received the test without providing alternative answers and to group 2, alternative answers were provided).To measure the level of linguistic awareness, the protocol of justification was used. In order to verify the reading comprehension, a false or true test was applied, the answer alternatives were established having in mind the existent relation between conjunction within a text (the true alternative was supposed to be justified). The results showed that group 2 used a higher number of conjunctions correctly, what confirms the idea that proving possible answers on the gap filling exercise about conjunctions maximizes the number of correct answers. On what regards the existence or not of correlation between the usage of conjunctions, the level of linguistic awareness and the level of reading comprehension, it was verified that, in both groups, there are correlations and that the biggest correlation is between the usage of linguistic awareness and the usage of conjunctions. In this sense, the conclusion of this paper is that, the enriching and meaningful work on (and with) Portuguese, on what relates to conjunctions, is whether the teacher explores the linguistic awareness on students. |
