A classificação dos verbos e das vozes verbais no português brasileiro: uma proposta de revisão da nomenclatura gramatical brasileira a partir da teoria da regência e ligação

Abstract

Esta tese analisa a classificação dos verbos e das vozes verbais do Português Brasileiro à luz da Teoria da Regência e Ligação proposta por Chomsky (1981), a qual fornecerá base teórica para uma proposta de revisão da Nomenclatura Gramatical Brasileira. Consequentemente, é também proposta a reclassificação desses verbos e vozes verbais. Discute-se ainda a inadequação de alguns conceitos e exemplos de duas gramáticas do Português Brasileiro com modelos teóricos diferentes; e tecem-se considerações a respeito do artigo “Em defesa da categoria de voz média no Português Brasileiro” (CAMACHO, 2003), que propõe a inclusão dessa voz verbal entre as três já existentes: ativa, passiva, reflexiva.

This thesis analyses verbal and voice classification in Brazilian Portuguese under the scope of Chomsky’s Government and Binding Theory (1981), which will provide the theoretical basis necessary to propose a review of the Brazilian Grammatical Nomenclature (NGB, from Portuguese Nomenclatura Gramatical Brasileira), followed by a reclassification of the aforementioned verbs and their voices. This work promotes the discussion of the inadequacy of a few concepts and examples given by two grammars of Brazilian Portuguese with different theoretical bases. This thesis also proposes a few considerations regarding the article “In defense of the middle voice category in Brazilian Portuguese” (CAMACHO, 2003), that aims for the inclusion of this verbal voice among the already existing three, which are classified as active, passive and reflexive.
