By means of the exposition of the historical elements, which made up the midia of social communication, using the theories of communication and theological studies about the phenomenon of communication, is here discussed the manner how to prepare a theological systematization in the context of our actual culture. A reflection about the preaching is made starting from its biblical and ecclesiastical development. A proposal of theological principles of preaching is also presented which define them as a communication event of the faith. The proposal suggests a new viewpoint of the Christian facts in a communication view situated in the possibilities and challenges of the contemporary culture.
