| Resumen: | O presente estudo investiga o abuso sexual de crianças e adolescentes a partir das narrativas jornalísticas construídas em dois dos jornais de maior circulação da região sul do Brasil, a Zero Hora (RS) e a Gazeta do Povo (PR), entre setembro de 2006 a outubro de 2007. Um dos principais objetivos foi compreender como as notícias neste período retrataram as três posições sociológicas associadas a esta violência, como a vítima, o abusador e a cena de abuso. Outro questionamento da pesquisa diz respeito aos indicadores que revelam a maior ou menor abertura dos jornais ao discurso da Agência de Notícias dos Direitos da Infância, uma ONG que se coloca como porta voz dos direitos da infância no campo jornalístico e que trabalha para regular a abordagem do tema nos meios de comunicação. Para dar conta das especificidades do objeto investigado, se utilizou como referencial teórico leituras associadas à violência, sexualidade, infância, sociologia da comunicação e movimentos sociais. Como fonte de análise utilizou-se ainda o discurso de jornalistas e dirigentes da organização. Dentre os resultados, a evidência de que o discurso jornalístico tem priorizado, nas narrativas, os casos de abuso sexual que se distanciam dos que as estatísticas produzem, deslocando a casa como espaço primeiro onde esta violência normalmente ocorre.
This study investigates the sexual abuse of children and adolescents from journalistic narratives constructed in two of the largest circulation newspapers in the region south of Brazil, the Zero Hora (RS) and Gazeta do Povo (PR) between September 2006 to October 2007. One of the main goals was to understand how the news in this period describe accurately the three sociological positions associated with this violence, such as the victim, the abuser and the scene of abuse. Another question of this research concerns the indicators that show higher or lower opening of the newspapers to the speech of the News Agency of the Rights of the Children, an NGO which arises as speaker of the rights of children in the journalistic field, and that works to regulate the approach of the subject in the media. To take account of the specific object of the investigation, readings associated with violence, sexuality, sociology of communication and social movements were used as theoretical reference. The speech of journalists and leaders of the organization were still used as a source of analysis. Among the results, the evidence that the journalistic speech has prioritized, in the narratives, cases of sexual abuse which are far from what the statistics produce, by moving the home as the first space where this violence usually occurs. |
