Categorias de narratividade no cinema de animação: atualização dos valores éticos de Aristóteles segundo Edgar Morin

Abstract

O potencial comunicativo das produções cinematográficas de animação incita questionamentos acerca do conteúdo vigente em suas narrativas. Apoiando-se nas contribuições de Vladimir Propp acerca da estrutura do conto, a presente pesquisa identifica e discute o discurso ético presente nas produções de animações fílmicas norte-americanas e brasileiras recentes, considerando os conceitos desenvolvidos por Aristóteles e Edgar Morin. Colocando em diálogo ambas as perspectivas, submete-se o corpus formado por um conjunto de obras à análise, buscando-se verificar como tais valores morais e éticos são transmitidos através das narrativas. Elementos particulares às produções nacionais e norte-americanas ganham visibilidade na pesquisa, permitindo a identificação de contrastes e aproximações que incidem na repercussão das animações perante suas platéias. A partir da fragmentação e análise das narrativas em funções, apresenta-se um quadro de valores morais para cada produção animada, associando-as a sua formação discursiva. Sob um cenário mágico e enriquecido pelo simbólico, o cinema de animação apresenta personagens com trajetórias particulares, capazes de dar visibilidade a temáticas emergentes no entorno social, fator importante sobretudo se considerarmos que é o público infantil e juvenil o seu receptor ideal.

The communicative potential of animation productions instigates questions about the current content in its narratives. Relying on the contributions of Vladimir Propp about the structure of the tale, the current research identifies and discusses the ethical discourse present in the current North American and Brazilian’s animations, considering the concept developed by Aristotle and Edgar Morin. Making a dialogue with both perspectives, we put the corpus formed by a group of works for analysis, trying to verify how such moral and ethical values are transmitted through the narratives. Particular elements of the national and North American’s productions get more visibility in the research, allowing the identification of contrasts and approaches that focus on the impact of animation before its audiences. After fragmentation and analysis of the narratives in functions, a framework of moral values is presented for each animated production, linking them to their discursive formation. Under a magical scenery and enriched by the symbolic, the animated film presents characters with particular pathways, capable of giving visibility to emerging themes in the social environment, an important factor especially if we consider that its ideal receiver is the children and young people.
