A construção do aprendizado em matemática: um enfoque metodológico e afetivo

Abstract

O presente trabalho é uma investigação sobre as influências da afetividade entre o professor e o aluno e a metodologia adotada pelo professor para promover a construção do conhecimento em Matemática. Esta investigação teve como sujeitos professores e alunos do Ensino Fundamental e Médio de uma escola privada, em Porto Alegre, os quais foram observados e entrevistados para se obterem as informações acerca deste tema. Numa análise de conteúdo, com categorias emergentes, verificou-se a importância atribuída pelos entrevistados ao tema abordado para a aprendizagem da Matemática, nessas séries. No decorrer das entrevistas, aparecem, claramente, depoimentos que realçam a importância da metodologia utilizada pelo professor, bem como a relação afetiva entre o professor e o aluno para qualificar a aprendizagem da Matemática na sala de aula. No relato de alguns entrevistados repercutem, também, momentos de desagrado relacionados com o aprendizado da Matemática nas diversas séries de escolaridade. Alguns relatam, também, situações menos favoráveis ao aprendizado da Matemática. Por outro lado, aparece com freqüência, a importância do bom relacionamento entre o professor e o aluno nos momentos de sala de aula. Alguns dos entrevistados apontam evidências de que a metodologia e o afeto são elementos inseparáveis na educação e lembram, também, que uma das obrigações fundamentais do professor consiste em respeitar as diferenças existentes entre os alunos, bem como o abandono dos pré-conceitos, sabendo ouvir, mantendo a coerência, a justiça e sempre priorizando as boas obras dos alunos na prática educativa.

This paper is an investigation about the influences of the affectivity between the teacher and the pupil, and the adopted methodology by the teacher in order to promote the building of the knowledge in Mathematics. This investigation had as subject matters the teachers and pupils of the Fundamental Teaching and High School of a private school in Porto Alegre, who were observed and interviewed in order to get the information about this theme. In an content analysis with emergent categories, the importance attributed by the interviewed to the approached theme for the learning of Mathematics in those grades of teaching has been verified. During those interviews, declarations that point out the importance of the used methodology by the teacher clearly appear, as well as the affective relation between the teacher and the pupil in order to qualify the learning of Mathematics in the classroom. In the report of some of the interviewed, moments of unpleasantness related to the learning of Mathematics in the various series of schooling also have repercussions. Some of the interviewed people point out evidences that the methodology and the affection are inseparable elements in education. They also remember that one of the fundamental obligations of the teacher consists of respecting the existent differences among the pupils, as well as the abandon of the prejudices, knowing how to listen, maintaining coherence, justice and always prioritizing the good works of the pupils in the educative practice.
