A violência policial brasileira na imprensa: G1 e ponte jornalismo

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem como objetivo central identificar as principais diferenças e/ou semelhanças entre a produção jornalística da mídia hegemônica e do jornalismo independente referente à cobertura da violência policial. Para isso, a autora determinou um período temporal, sendo escolhidos os textos sobre a operação policial na Vila Kennedy, no Rio de Janeiro, ocorrida em 26/4/2020. Assim, selecionou-se a primeira matéria dos veículos G1 e Ponte Jornalismo sobre o ocorrido, a fim de representarem ambos os modos do fazer jornalístico. Na revisão teórica, são esclarecidas as definições de direitos humanos - Flores (2009) e Christofolleti (2008), violência policial - Soares (2011; 2015; 2019) e Rolim (2006), mídia hegemônica, jornalismo independente e jornalismo de causa - Canavilhas (2006; 2007), Ramonet (2013) e Fernandes (2007). Já na análise dos textos selecionados, a principal referência é Bardin (1977). Por fim, nas considerações finais, a autora discorre sobre as diferenças encontradas em ambos os textos. A mais evidente é a presença da defesa dos direitos humanos no texto da Ponte Jornalismo, enquanto o G1 não demonstra isto em nenhum momento.

The present work has as the main objetictive identify the principal differences and/or similarities between the journalistic production of the mass media and the independent journalism over police violence. In order to do that, the author, has determined a lapse of time, being selected the texts about the police operation at Vila Kennedy, Rio de Janeiro, which happened on 4/26/2020. Therefore, it has been selected the first news of the media vehicles G1 and Ponte Jornalismo about what happened, to represent both ways of news making. In the theoretical study, are elucidate the definitions of human rights - Christofolleti (2008) and Flores (2009), police violence - Soares (2011; 2015; 2019) and Rolim (2006), mass media, independent journalism and advocacy journalism - Canavilhas (2006; 2007), Ramonet (2013) and Fernandes (2007). Yet, in the analysis of the selected texts, the principal bibliography is Bardin (1977). At the end, in the final considerations, the author discourses about the differences found between both texts. The most notable one is the presence of the defence of human rights in Ponte Jornalismo’s text, while G1 does not present that in any moment.
