O limite entre o jornalismo digital, a espetacularização e o sensacionalismo: uma análise de conteúdo da página no Facebook Porto Alegre 24 horas

Abstract

O presente estudo tem como objetivo entender até que ponto um veículo de cunho jornalístico e com atuação nas redes sociais mantém os princípios básicos da profissão - independente do meio -, sem cair nos gatilhos da espetacularização e do sensacionalismo. Para isso, serão retomadas as principais características dos fenômenos em questão: o jornalismo digital, bem como a sua atuação nas redes sociais; a espetacularização e o sensacionalismo, desde os conceitos até a forma como se manifestam na comunicação. Com o entendimento do referencial teórico, será feita uma Análise de Conteúdo da página no Facebook Porto Alegre 24 Horas, objeto de estudo do trabalho. Através do método de categorização, serão analisadas quinze publicações da página, tendo em vista as características dos fenômenos de interesse da pesquisa. Ao final, é possível identificar que o objeto, ainda que falhe com alguns princípios básicos do jornalismo e, por vezes, apresente traços de espetacularização e sensacionalismo, é sim um produto jornalístico.

This study aims to understand how far a journalistic vehicle with activities in social networks, maintaining the basic elements of the profession - independent of the means - without falling into the triggers of spectacularization and sensationalism. Thereunto, will be resumed the main characteristics of the effects about the issue: the digital journalism, as well as the activities on social networks; a spectacularization and sensationalism, since the concept to the way its manifest in the communication. With the use of the theoretical reference, a Content Analysis of the Facebook page Porto Alegre 24 Horas will be applied, which is the object of study of this work. Through the use of categorization method, will be analyzed fifteen publications of the page, considering the characteristics of the content of interest of this research. At the end, it is possible to identify that the objective, although it fails about basic elements of journalism and, sometimes presents traces of spectacularization and sensationalism, it is a journalistic product.
