| Resumo: | In 2009, was showed by Rede Globo, the telenovela Viver a vida, which presented a protagonist with physical disability. With this character, the 25 million people with disabilities in the country (IBGE, 2010) were able to recognize their daily lives in the prime time of Brazilian television. This work aims to analyze the representation of the person with disability in the telenovela Viver a vida. The research was built on the Douglas Kellner (2001) model of multiperspectival analysis and the Stuart Hall (1997a) concept of representation. For both, we made, first, a mapping of all the characters with physical disabilities in Brazilian telenovelas, produced by Rede Globo, situating the analysis in a historical perspective of representations of people with disabilities in this television genre. Understanding that the speech of the telenovela is related to the society in which it is inserted, we selected news about the person with physical disability, that were broadcast during the exhibition period of the telenovela (from 09/01/2009 to 06/01/2010), in the magazines Veja and Época, in the newspapers Zero Hora and Folha de São Paulo and in the media focused on the segment of people with disability, the magazine Sentidos and the newspaper Na Luta. In the end, we analyze the representation of the person with a disability in the telenovela Viver a Vida, looking at the socio-historical construction process of what is the disability, treating the disabilities associated with the idea of normality, its historicity and its inclusion in the social environment. With the character Luciana, from Viver a vida, issues such as accessibility, rights of people with disability and social inclusion, were discussed in the telenovela, which, with such visibility, gained space of discussion in society. Although it has, in some moments, a pendular look between the victimization and the divinization, Viver a vida destabilizes the vision that most people have on the person with disability, showing a character who search to have a ordinary life in a society that is not yet ready to live with the disabilities.
Em 2009 foi ao ar, pela Rede Globo, a telenovela Viver a Vida, que apresentou uma protagonista com deficiência física. Com esse personagem, os 25 milhões de pessoas com deficiência do país (IBGE, 2010) puderam se reconhecer e reconhecer o seu cotidiano no horário nobre da televisão brasileira. Este trabalho tem por objetivo analisar a representação da pessoa com deficiência na telenovela Viver a Vida. A pesquisa foi construída a partir do modelo de análise multiperspectívica de Douglas Kellner (2001) e do conceito de representação de Stuart Hall (1997a). Para tanto, realizamos, primeiramente, um mapeamento de todos os personagens com deficiência física em telenovelas brasileiras, produzidas pela Rede Globo, situando a análise em uma perspectiva histórica de representações de pessoas com deficiência nesse gênero televisivo. Por entender que o discurso da telenovela está relacionado com a sociedade em que está inserido, selecionamos reportagens sobre a pessoa com deficiência física que foram veiculadas durante o período de exibição da telenovela (de 01/09/2009 à 01/06/2010), nas revistas Veja e Época, nos jornais Zero Hora e Folha de São Paulo e nos meios voltados para o segmento de pessoas com deficiência, revista Sentidos e jornal Na Luta. Por fim, analisamos a representação da pessoa com deficiência na telenovela Viver a Vida, tendo em vista o processo sócio-histórico de construção do que é a deficiência, tratando a deficiência associada com a ideia de normalidade, sua historicidade e sua inclusão no meio social. Com a personagem Luciana, de Viver a Vida, temas como acessibilidade, direitos das pessoas com deficiência e inclusão social foram discutidos na telenovela, que, com tal visibilidade, ganharam espaço de discussão na sociedade. Ainda que apresente, em alguns momentos, um olhar pendular entre a vitimização e a divinização, Viver a Vida desestabiliza a visão que se tem sobre a pessoa com deficiência, ao apresentar uma personagem que busca ter uma vida comum numa sociedade que ainda não está preparada para conviver com as deficiências. |
