Projetos ambientais na escola pública e sua relação com o processo ensino aprendizagem de matemática

Abstract

Este trabalho tem sua origem na inquietação de uma educadora que, no decorrer de vinte e oito anos de experiência docente com alunos do ensino fundamental, sempre desejou um ensino eficaz, que proporcionasse ao aluno o prazer e a alegria de aprender matemática a partir de novas propostas metodológicas, apostando principalmente nas boas relações pessoais e na inter-relação entre teoria e prática. A necessidade de oferecer ao aluno uma aprendizagem matemática significativa, com maior investimento no ensino participativo e contextualizado a partir dos temas ambientais propostos nesta pesquisa buscou respostas para o questionamento que motivou este trabalho: o envolvimento dos alunos de uma sétima série do ensino fundamental em projetos ambientais na escola pública pode influenciar no processo ensino aprendizagem de matemática? Verificar por meio da pesquisa se o envolvimento de educandos em projetos ambientais na escola pública influencia a qualidade de suas aprendizagens na disciplina de matemática foi o objetivo principal deste trabalho. O desenvolvimento da pesquisa aconteceu a partir do envolvimento de alunos de uma sétima série do ensino fundamental, de uma escola da rede pública de ensino no município de Gravataí/RS, em três projetos ambientais desenvolvidos nessa instituição de ensino. Os projetos Horta Escolar como uma proposta interdisciplinar e Coleta Seletiva como atitude ambiental foram os dois temas selecionados para o desenvolvimento das duas atividades descritas e analisadas nesta dissertação. A Aplicação do Cálculo de Área – modelagem matemática e a Construção e Interpretação de Gráficos – pesquisa de opinião sobre a problemática da geração e destino do lixo na escola relacionaram conteúdos matemáticos previstos para a sétima série com questões ambientais em evidência na escola.Dentro de uma metodologia baseada no processo indutivo, seguindo uma abordagem naturalística - construtivista essa pesquisa mostra um trabalho diferenciado no qual os alunos e a professora atuaram como protagonistas de um processo no qual o crescimento foi mútuo, fundamentado no direito recíproco de questionar, argumentar e sugerir, contribuindo assim para um novo olhar sobre o ensinar/aprender matemática.

The source of this essay stems from the concern of a teacher who, during twenty-eight years of teaching experience with elementary school students, always wished an effective education that would provide students with pleasure and joy of learning mathematics from new methodological proposals, focusing mainly on good personal relations and the inter-relationship between theory and practice. The need to offer to the student a meaningful mathematics learning, with greater investment in participatory teaching and contextualized from environmental issues proposed in this research sought to answer the question that motivated this work: the involvement of students from the seventh grade education projects the public school environment can influence the learning process of mathematics? Verify through research that the involvement of students in environmental projects in the public school influences the quality of their learning in the discipline of mathematics was the main goal of this work. The development of the research came from the involvement of students from the seventh-grade elementary school, a public school education in the city of Gravatai/ RS in three environmental projects in this educational institution. The project Kitchen Garden School as an interdisciplinary approach and selective waste as an environmental attitude were the two themes selected for the development of the two activities described and analyzed in this dissertation.The Application of area calculation - mathematical modeling and the construction and interpretation of graphs - an opinion poll on the issue of generation and waste disposal in the school related math concepts planned for the seventh-grade environmental issues highlighted in the school. within a methodology based on the inductive process, following a naturalistic approach - Constructivist research shows that a unique work in which students and the teacher acted as the lead in a process in which growth was mutual, based on the reciprocal right to question, argue and suggest thus contributing to a new focus on teaching and learning mathematics.
