| Resumen: | A pesquisa analisa a reorganização do movimento negro brasileiro após o golpe de 64, a partir de um estudo sobre Grupo Palmares de Porto Alegre, entre 1971 e 1978. O grupo foi responsável pela proposição do dia 20 de novembro, como alternativa as comemorações do 13 de maio. Palmares também foi um dos precursores do chamado movimento negro moderno, que se caracterizou pela construção de uma nova identidade negra, referenciada em aspectos locais e globais. Ao afirmar-se e organizar-se como grupo étnico, adotam uma postura e um discurso subversivo que coloca em cheque conceitos estruturantes da sociedade brasileira como democracia racial, identidade e cultura nacional. Além disso, questionaram o status quo, em função do lugar social relegado ao negro, e enfrentaram a ditadura ao organizarem-se como movimento contestador por melhores condições sociais e econômicas, e por mais espaço político.
The research analyzes the reorganization of the Brazilian blackman movement after the coup of 64, from a study about Porto Alegre's Grupo Palmares, between 1971 and 1978. The group was responsible for the November 20th proposal that would symbolize the black resistance as an alternative for the May 13th celebrations, which contained the idea of granted freedom. Palmares was also one of the precursors of the modern black movement, characterized by the construction of a new black identity, with local and global aspects. When affirming and organizing themselves as an ethnic group, they adopt a position and a subversive speech for placing in check structural concepts of the Brazilian society as racial democracy, identity and national culture. Moreover, they had questioned the status quo because of the social place relegated to the blackman and had faced the dictatorship when organizing itself as movement that contests for better social and economic conditions, and for more political space. |
