Starting with the observation of Juba’s videos, the Baghdad sniper, available on internet and introduced within the West through the British newspaper The Guardian, this study addresses the subject of violence representation in the processes of cultural production on internet. Through mediation circles, the point of departure of this research is compound of some videos and their contexts of production. Following this path, the study connects these issues with theoretical approaches that allow us thinking on processes of cultural production on digital world. Taking into account Stuart Hall´s thought on the circuit of culture (1997), this paper develops an analysis about the role of violence images into these processes. |
