Um novo espaço para os jovens: estudo sobre a internet no mundo adolescente chinês

Abstract

Este trabalho tem o objetivo de estudar e analisar o desenvolvimento da Internet na China e a apropriação que o adolescente chinês – sujeito em transição – faz da nova tecnologia, ou seja, a situação atual do uso e influência da Internet no mundo adolescente chinês. Estabeleceu-se um momento de pesquisa de questionário, quando cem adolescentes chineses foram entrevistados: cinqüenta deles têm idade de dezoito anos e freqüentam o primeiro ano da faculdade, enquanto os outros cinqüenta são de quinze anos e estão no primeiro ano do segundo círculo da escola secundária. Nessa pesquisa o interesse é conhecer as características dos internautas adolescentes chineses, esclarecer as peculiaridades e mudanças ocorridas em função da utilização da Internet, estudar e debater as influências exercidas pela Internet sobre a vida dos adolescentes chineses, ou seja, as relações entre a utilização da Internet e o estudo, a diversão, a comunicação interpessoal, os pensamentos e os comportamentos do adolescente.

The object of this work is studying and analysing the development of Internet in China and how the Chinese adolescence – subject in transition to take possession of the new technologies, in another word, the present situation of the usage and the influence of Internet in Chinese adolescent world. A questionnaire survey was undertaken, where one hundred Chinese teenagers were interviewed: fifty of these have eighteen years and are freshmen of the university, while the remaining fifty have fifteen years and frequent the first year of the senior school. The research takes an interest in knowing the characteristics of Chinese teenagers who like surfing in Internet, finding out the peculiarities and the changes in use of Internet, studying and discussing the Internet’s influence for Chinese teenagers’ life, that is to say, the relationship between the use of Internet and the teenagers’ study, amusement, communication with others, thinking and behaviour.
