A construção dialógica da identidade: consciência linguística, interação discursiva e palavra alheia

Abstract

Todos estamos investidos de identidades e, justamente por isso, a identidade é um tema que está no centro de amplos debates, envolvendo estudiosos de campos diversos do conhecimento (HALL, 2020; BUTLER, 2018; GIDDENS, 2012; BAUMAN, 2005; ELIAS, 1994). Nesta tese, abordamos a identidade a partir dos pressupostos teóricos de Bakhtin e o Círculo, considerando-a como um processo de construção relacional, que se manifesta no discurso de sujeitos social e historicamente constituídos. A contribuição teórico-conceitual dos Estudos Culturais, em especial Hall (2014, 2020) e Woodward (2014), possibilitou uma reflexão mais apurada sobre esse processo. Nosso objetivo principal é desenvolver a noção de identidade dialógica com base em três conceitos fundamentais: consciência linguística, interação discursiva e palavra alheia. Em articulação, esses conceitos representam o que definimos como um posicionamento responsável e responsivo que se realiza no continuum da interação discursiva. Nessa perspectiva, as relações dialógicas estabelecidas na singularidade do ato discursivo nos permitem conceber a identidade como um fenômeno social e ideológico, protagonizado por um sujeito-corpo que se posiciona em relação a discursos identitários de orientação mais autoritária e monológica ou aqueles de orientação mais dialógica e interiormente persuasiva.Ainda que predominantemente teórica, entendemos que nossa proposta deve estar ancorada na análise de enunciados concretos, permitindo uma avaliação crítica de sua aplicabilidade. Para isso, analisamos o discurso de linguistas observando o ordenamento metodológico proposto por Volóchinov (2017, p. 220; 2019, p. 268), buscando explicitar o processo de construção dialógica da identidade a partir do posicionamento dos linguistas em resposta aos ataques infligidos à categoria durante a repercussão do que ficou conhecido como “o caso do livro didático”, ocorrido em 2011.

We are all vested with identities and, precisely for this reason, identity is a theme that is at the center of broad debates, involving scholars from different fields of knowledge (HALL, 2020; BUTLER, 2018; GIDDENS, 2012; BAUMAN, 2005; ELIAS, 1994). In this dissertation, we approach identity from the theoretical assumptions of Bakhtin and the Circle, considering identity as a process of relational construction, which manifests itself in the discourse of socially and historically constituted subjects. The theoretical-conceptual contribution of Cultural Studies, especially Hall (2014, 2020) and Woodward (2014), enabled a more refined reflection on this process. Our main goal is to develop the notion of dialogical identity based on three fundamental concepts: linguistic consciousness, discursive interaction and the word of others. In articulation, these concepts represent what we define as a responsible and responsive positioning that takes place in the continuum of discursive interaction.From this perspective, the dialogic relationships established in the singularity of the discursive act allow us to conceive identity as a social and ideological phenomenon, performed by a subject-body that positions itself in relation to identity discourses of a more authoritarian and monological orientation or those of a more dialogical and internally persuasive orientation. Although predominantly theoretical, we understand that our proposal must be anchored in the analysis of concrete statements, allowing a critical evaluation of its applicability. To this end, we analyzed the discourse of linguists observing the methodological ordering proposed by Voloshinov (2017, p. 220; 2019, p. 268), seeking to explain the process of dialogic construction of identity from the positioning of linguists in response to the attacks inflicted on the category during the repercussion of what became known as "the textbook case", which occurred in 2011.
