| Abstract: | Esta dissertação apresentada ao Programa de Pós-Graduação da PUCRS investigou o trabalho de assistentes sociais no âmbito da saúde, mais precisamente no espaço sócio-ocupacional da atenção domiciliar, que é uma modalidade peculiar onde a assistência ocorre dentro dos domicílios dos pacientes. Este modelo de cuidado impõe grandes desafios por tamanha complexidade, enredos e particularidades apresentadas, já que este deve ser compartilhado com os próprios pacientes, mas também com familiares, cuidadores e equipes interdisciplinares. Desta maneira, buscando compreender o trabalho de assistentes sociais na atenção domiciliar do Brasil no decorrer de 2022 e 2023, realizou-se uma pesquisa qualitativa, de caráter exploratório, norteado pelo referencial teórico do método dialético crítico, com profissionais que trabalham neste segmento (assistentes sociais, especialistas de equipe interdisciplinares e gestores). O estudo teve como objetivo principal indicar os parâmetros que delineiam o trabalho do Serviço Social na área da saúde domiciliar no Brasil a fim de contribuir para a instrumentalização, valorização e visibilidade da categoria. Além disso, procurou relacionar as intervenções do(a) assistente social com as dimensões da profissão, identificar as competências, atribuições e os desafios enfrentados, revelar de fato os entraves e possibilidades encontradas pelo(a) profissional frente as equipes interdisciplinares, além de entender o motivo da reduzida inclusão da categoria nesse espaço. Para tal, utilizou-se da técnica “bola de neve” para realização de entrevistas on-line e, posteriormente, um grupo focal com nova recolha de dados e devolutiva dos resultados encontrados.Assim, as informações coletadas foram estudadas sob a perspectiva da análise de conteúdo, o que permitiu a entrada profunda no trabalho de assistentes sociais nesse domínio, de forma reflexiva, crítica e construtiva. A apreciação dos relatos de profissionais que trabalham na atenção domiciliar evidenciou o quão desafiador é esse campo por apresentar nuances significativos, com necessidades distintas, com interação e envolvimento de muitos profissionais e o indispensável grau de exigência em relação a segurança do paciente, além de requerer habilidades nem sempre proporcionadas pelos campos acadêmicos. A pesquisa desvelou também singularidades profissionais que se diferem de outros serviços da saúde, identificou as estratégias da categoria frente ao atual modelo capitalista e neoliberal, o qual estamos inseridos e vem promovendo impactos para todos os envolvidos e, ainda, ratificou a necessidade absoluta da inclusão do olhar social para este campo que pode ter o escore de risco social como um grande aliado nessa conquista.
This paper presented to PUCRS Postgraduate Program investigated the role of social workers in the health field, more precisely in the socio-occupational space of home care, which is a peculiar modality where assistance occurs within patients' homes. This care model imposes great challenges due to such complexity, storylines and particularities presented since it must be shared with patients, family members, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams. In this way, seeking to understand the role of social workers in home care in Brazil during 2022 and 2023, qualitative research was carried out, guided by the theoretical framework of the critical dialectical method, with professionals who work in this segment (social workers, interdisciplinary team specialists and managers). The main objective of the study was to indicate the parameters which outline the work of Social Services around home health in Brazil to contribute to the instrumentalization, valorization and visibility of this category. Furthermore, it sought to relate the social worker's interventions with the dimensions of the profession, identify the skills, duties and challenges faced, reveal the obstacles and possibilities encountered by the professional in the face of interdisciplinary teams, in addition to understanding the reason of the reduced inclusion of the category in this space. To this end, the “snowball” technique was used to conduct online interviews and, subsequently, a focus group with new data collection and feedback on the results found. Thus, the information collected was studied from the perspective of content analysis, which allowed deep entry into the work of social workers in this domain, in a reflective, critical, and constructive way.The assessment of reports from professionals who work in home care highlighted how challenging this field is as it presents significant nuances, with different needs, with interaction and involvement of many professionals and the indispensable degree of demand concerning patient safety, in addition to requiring skills not always provided by academic fields. The research also revealed professional singularities that differ from other health services, identified the category's strategies in the face of the current capitalist and neoliberal model, which we are part of and has been promoting impacts for everyone involved, and ratified the absolute need for inclusion from a social perspective to this field that can have the social risk score as a great ally in this achievement. |
