The objective of this work is to analyze the metal-mechanics activity in Rio Grande do Sul, as well as the complex comprised by these sectors, identifying and measuring their full economic contribution by using an intersectorial input-output model. Parallel to the sectorial investigation, an analysis is carried out on the spatial distribution of those sectors, which revealed high regional concentration. This survey, based on the behavior and significance of these sectors, can help to improve the performance of tax administrator, by allowing a systemic view of the economic activity, essentially of the Metal-Mechanics Complex. |
