Jovens de grupo da pastoral da juventude no bairro Restinga de Porto Alegre - RS: identidades e saberes

Abstract

O tema deste trabalho é a juventude. Propõe-se a discutir as aprendizagens construídas pelos jovens do grupo da Pastoral da Juventude na periferia de Porto Alegre, no bairro Restinga. Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar a aproximação dos jovens em seu grupo religioso, para procurar entender as lógicas internas do grupo, as aprendizagens que constroem, assim como saber das relações que estabelecem com outros segmentos externos ao grupo. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida numa abordagem qualitativa, utilizando como método o estudo de caso e foi desenvolvida com 10 jovens participantes. Como instrumentos de coleta de dados utilizamos importantes estratégias usadas na pesquisa: Diário de campo, observação, entrevistas individuais e coletivas. A partir dos dados, foi realizada uma análise que gerou as seguintes categorias: identidades, socialização, aprendizagens e religião. Autores como Melucci (1997), Spósito (1996), Pais (1993) constituem as principais referências teóricas deste estudo. A investigação aponta que o grupo religioso é um espaço privilegiado de construção de identidades. No grupo, os jovens envolvem-se, fazem amizades e tomam consciência de que a vida com o outro pode ser educadora. A Pastoral da Juventude proporciona momentos para a revisão de vida, o debate, as trocas com jovens de diferentes realidades e o fortalecimento de valores. Fatores como a amizade, a solidariedade e a convivência com as diferenças são pontos fortes. O grupo é o espaço da construção da auto-estima, da troca, da amizade, do acolhimento, da crítica, mas, acima de tudo, de construção de uma imagem positiva de si. A Igreja ainda é uma das instituições tradicionais que consegue nuclear os jovens e dar autonomia a eles.

The Subject matter of this study is YOUTH. It proposes to discuss the learnings constructed by the youth of a Youth Pastoral Group of a poor area of Porto Alegre at Restinga neighborhood. As a goal, it has the approach of the youths in their Religious Group to seek to understand the internal logics of the group, the learnings that they construct, as well as the relationships they establish toward other external segments to the group. The research was developed in a quality approach, using as method the “study of a case” and was developed with ten adolescents, who are the involved participants. As instrument for the collage of data, we used Field Diary - observation, individual and group interviews were important strategies used in the research. From these data, an analysis of contents was made that generated the following categories: identities, socialization, learnings and Religion. Authors like Melucci ( 1997), Spósito (1996), Pais (1993) constitute the main theoretical references of this study. The investigation points out that the religious group is a privileged space to build identities. In a group, the youths involve themselves, build relationships, and get aware that life with someone else can be of education. The Pastoral of Youth provides moments to review life, discussion, exchange experiences with groups from other realities and strengthen values. Key-factors like friendship, solidarity and living with differences are strong highlights. The group is a space of constructing self-esteem, share experiences, friendships, welcoming/ accepting, criticism, but overall, the construction of a positive image of him/herself. The Church is still, one of the traditional institutions, that has the power to nuclear the youths and gives autonomy to them.
