| Resumen: | In the 21st century, education cannot be understood anymore as being a closed system, but understood and equipped while an open system, in which the processes (transforming), recurrent from the experience, depend on the interaction between person and object, or individual and environment. The university is a privileged place so that these processes, organized in net, can be developed. Understanding that the university is the site that articulates education, research and extension, it cannot excuse itself from contributing for the sustainable development of the society, nor to renounce to divulge the actions and the projects that develops with this purpose, especially those universities of communitarian character. The Thesis of the researcher is: Communitarian universities from Rio Grande do Sul contribute with a socially responsible education, by means of articulation and non separability of their functions as well as of the relation and the interaction that establish with the communities of their surroundings. With this premise it becomes pertinent to understand the perceptions of the administrators from the studied university and to analyze relevant documents that tie with this thematic. The research problem was configured through the following form: How the administrators of a communitarian university from Rio Grande do Sul perceive the formation of activities that indicate concern in developing a socially responsible education in the 21st century? The general objective of the research was: To understand how the administrators of a communitarian university from Rio Grande do Sul perceive the translation into concern with a socially responsible education in their institution, through activities developed by the university. An inquiry of qualitative, natural matrix was developed, with the methodology of simple case study, of the University of Santa Cruz do Sul (UNISC), to proceed the research. Several sources of evidence were used, collected from interviews - administrators of UNISC; and institutional documents - reports and social balances sheets from 2000 to 2007 and Political Pedagogical Institutional Project -, as well as remarks from the investigator. The interviews were worked through Analysis of Content (ENGERS, 1987) and the documents were analyzed from highlighted dimensions. With the conclusion of the investigation, UNISC is considered a socially responsible university, worried in contributing with the sustainable development, particularly of its region, and that it is finding a balance between the a actions directed to its internal public - professors, employees, pupils - and those directed to the external public - community, society, partners, environment and government. It is understood that the pointers elaborated in this work can serve as guidelines for those communitarian universities that want to reach the goal of being socially responsible.
No século XXI, a educação não pode mais ser entendida como um sistema fechado, mas sim compreendida e operacionalizada enquanto um sistema aberto, no qual os processos (transformadores), decorrentes da experiência, dependem da interação entre sujeito e objeto, ou entre indivíduo e meio. A universidade é um local privilegiado para que esses processos, organizados em rede, possam ser desenvolvidos. Entendendo-se que a universidade é o lócus que articula ensino, pesquisa e extensão, ela não pode se furtar de contribuir para o desenvolvimento sustentável da sociedade, nem deixar de divulgar as ações e os projetos que desenvolve com esse fim, especialmente aquelas universidades de caráter comunitário. A Tese da pesquisadora é: Universidades comunitárias gaúchas contribuem com uma educação socialmente responsável, por meio da articulação e da indissociabilidade de suas funções bem como da relação e da interação que estabelecem com as comunidades de seu entorno. Com essa premissa torna-se relevante compreender as percepções dos gestores da Universidade estudada e analisar documentos de relevo correspondentes a esta temática. O problema de pesquisa configurou-se da seguinte forma: Como os gestores de universidade comunitária do Rio Grande do Sul percebem se constituir as atividades que denotam preocupação em desenvolver uma educação socialmente responsável no século XXI? O objetivo geral da pesquisa foi: Compreender como os gestores de universidade comunitária gaúcha percebem se traduzir, nas atividades nelas desenvolvidas, preocupação com uma educação socialmente responsável em sua instituição. Desenvolveu-se uma investigação de cunho qualitativo, naturalístico, com a metodologia de estudo de caso simples, da Universidade de Santa Cruz do Sul (UNISC), para proceder a pesquisa. Utilizou-se de várias fontes de evidência, coletadas a partir de entrevistas – gestores da UNISC; e de documentos institucionais – relatórios e balanços sociais de 2000 a 2007 e Projeto Político-Pedagógico Institucional –, bem como das observações da investigadora. As entrevistas foram trabalhadas através de Análise de Conteúdo (ENGERS, 1987) e os documentos foram analisados a partir de destacadas dimensões. Com a conclusão da investigação, considera-se que a UNISC é uma universidade socialmente responsável, preocupada em contribuir com o desenvolvimento sustentável de sua região, em especial, e que vem encontrando um equilíbrio entre as ações direcionadas a seu público interno – professores, funcionários, alunos – e aquelas direcionadas ao público externo – comunidade, sociedade, parceiros, meio ambiente e governo. Entende-se que os indicadores elaborados nesse trabalho possam servir de 6 norteadores para aquelas universidades comunitárias que buscam ser socialmente responsáveis. |
