Modelagem matemática, ensino e pesquisa: uma experiência no ensino médio

Abstract

Este trabalho apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa realizada junto aos alunos de duas turmas de primeira série do ensino médio de um colégio de Porto Alegre, RS. A temática explorada é a Modelagem Matemática enquanto estratégia alternativa para o ensino e aprendizagem da Matemática. Procurou-se investigar como as aprendizagens dos alunos de ensino médio podem ser construídas por meio de atividades que seguem o princípio da Modelagem, investigando vantagens e desvantagens deste tipo de proposta. Tendo em vista que o problema de pesquisa foi examinado no contexto em que se insere, o estudo segue os princípios da pesquisa qualitativa compreensiva. Para a análise, foram utilizados questionários, trabalhos produzidos pelos próprios alunos e depoimentos que ocorreram no seminário integrador.

This work presents a research conducted with students of two first year groups of a high school in Porto Alegre, RS. The explored theme is the Mathematics Modelling as an alternative strategy for the Mathematics learning and teaching. It was tried to investigate how the high school students’ learning can be built through activities that follow the Modelling principle, investigating advantages and disadvantages of this kind of proposal. Bearing in mind that the problem of the research was examined in its context, the study follows the principles of qualitative and comprehensive research. For the analysis, it was used questionnaires, work produced by the students and statements that were raised in the integrated seminar.
