| Resumen: | The research had as objective to investigate, execute and evaluate a pedagogical proposal in a learning unit related to Science teaching with students in sixth grade concerning the study of serpents. The theoretical background was based on some authors which propose innovative approaches in the process of teaching and learning. We sought to follow and evaluate the construction of knowledge about serpents in a learning unit which was developed upon students prior ideas. The investigation was carried on the analysis of students’ statements and texts produced by them. The method used was analysis of the content that has given us the opportunity to analyzing and thinking about the students statements. Taking into account the topics presented by the pupils we have gotten some questions that allow us to organize the contents studied in the classes. We have noticed that the students were able to do some important group works and that they were able to be responsible by their own learning. They have worked together in an autonomous way. They have looked at bibliographic references about serpents and they have produced texts about some specific topics divided into groups. However, these results are partial and they are related to a case study, in other words, these results were gotten in one group of students, in a given context and these results have involved students in sixth grade in a public school. These results help us to comprehend the process of learning but we could not generalize. They might help us to think and give support to the application and evaluation in other groups of students. This is just a path to develop a new methodology that was well-accepted by the students and by the teacher/researcher. This is not a final version of a practice but its beginning.
Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo acompanhar e avaliar a construção do conhecimento em uma proposta pedagógica com uma Unidade de Aprendizagem – UA – sobre serpentes, desenvolvida a partir das idéias prévias dos alunos da 6ª serie do ensino fundamental, em aulas de Ciências,. A fundamentação teórica foi baseada em autores que propõem um diferencial nos processos de ensino e aprendizagem. A investigação foi feita a partir da análise de depoimentos e de textos elaborados pelos alunos, segundo a metodologia denominada Análise de Conteúdo, que oportunizou subsídios para elaboração da UA, com base na análise e reflexão das diferentes opiniões por eles enfatizadas. A partir das idéias prévias dos alunos, foram organizados trabalhos que eles realizaram em pequenos grupos. Depois os temas trabalhados foram apresentados pelos alunos, obtendo-se perguntas e idéias em depoimentos que ajudaram a fazer uma avaliação desta proposta. Percebeu-se que os alunos foram capazes de realizar, em grupos, trabalhos de grande relevância, assumindo responsabilidades pela própria aprendizagem. Conseguiram trabalhar com autonomia, consultando bibliografia específica sobre serpentes e produzindo textos sobre o tema que coube a cada grupo. Entretanto, esses resultados são parciais e relacionam-se a um estudo de caso, ou seja, os resultados obtidos em uma turma, num determinado contexto, envolvendo alunos de 6ª série de uma escola estadual. Esses resultados auxiliam a compreensão do processo, não tendo a intenção de generalização, mas auxiliando a reflexão e subsidiando a aplicação e avaliação em outras turmas. Este é somente um caminho, um meio para aperfeiçoarmos esta nova metodologia que foi tão bem aceita pelos alunos e pela professora/pesquisadora. Esta não é a versão final de uma prática, mas o início dela. |
