| Resumo: | O presente trabalho tem por objetivo investigar a constituição da questão estética na obra de Levinas. Levinas apresenta uma austera crítica antiestética a partir da associação entre arte, exotismo e idolatria. A arte seria o campo do silêncio, da imagem, da estátua e do retorno ao mesmo, o que se traduz em negação do sujeito e da ética. Por outro lado, Levinas sugere uma certa “redenção” da arte através da crítica, fazendo convergir estética e ética. O presente trabalho pretende averiguar as recorrências, continuidades, desdobramentos ou rupturas no trato da questão estética nos diversos textos de Levinas e toma como hipótese a interpretação de que as valorações positiva e negativa convivem ao longo de toda sua obra. No primeiro capítulo, enfatiza-se o caráter de musicalidade da obra de arte e o fenômeno do exotismo; no segundo, sua plasticidade e o fenômeno da idolatria; no terceiro, os conceitos de obra e de crítica da arte como possibilidade de convergência entre estética e ética.
The present work has as its aim to investigate the constitution of the aesthetic question in the Levinas’ work. Levinas presents a precise antiaesthetic critic from the association between arts, exotism and idolatry. Arts would be the field of silence, of image, of the return to the same, what leads to a denial of the subject and of ethics. On the other hand, Levinas suggests a kind of “redemption” of arts throughout the criticism, converging aesthetics and ethics. The present works aims to investigate the recurrences, continuities, unfoldings and ruptures in the dealing with the aesthetic question in several texts by Levinas, taking as an hypothesis the interpretation that the positive and negative approaches towards aesthetics converge in Levinas’ work. In the first chapter, it is emphasized the musicality of the work of art and the phenomenon of exotism; in the second its plasticity and the phenomenon of idolatry; in the third, the concepts of work and art criticism as the possibility of convergence between ethics and aesthetics. |
