| Resumen: | Pesquisar sobre a construção do imaginário da mulher brasileira na fronteira oeste do Rio Grande do Sul, a partir do que revelam os jornais do período de 1890 a 1910, era um trabalho que se revestia de relevância social ao contribuir para a reflexão e os estudos que se realizam sobre a constituição da subjetividade do feminino no Brasil. No final do século XIX e início do Século XX, o Brasil passou por uma série de transformações que implantaram modificações arquitetônicas, mudanças nas relações de trabalho e até no lazer das pessoas. Essas transformações vão desde a abertura de avenidas, destruição de cortiços, até o asilamento cientifico e a cobrança de valores éticos e de posturas morais, principalmente do sexo feminino. Ao investigar o imaginário feminino, pude comprovar que as mulheres gaúchas da fronteira oeste do Rio Grande do Sul, foram alvos de preconceitos e que, mesmo assim, muitas lutaram pelo seu espaço, não se deixando moldar pelos padrões de moralidade vigente na sociedade. Tenho por tese, que a mulher da fronteira oeste do Rio Grande do Sul aprendeu, pela necessidade contextual da época, a desenvolver estratégias próprias de construção de sua subjetividade que não a reduzem à representação apresentada pelo imaginário popular, enunciada nos escritos da historiografia tradicional e cantada em verso e prosa de maneira idealizada. Nesse sentido, sustento com base em Michel Foucault, que a ação dos micropoderes de sujeição e de docilidade dos corpos pelo exercício do poder disciplinador e moralizador é mais notável do que os efeitos negativos do poder de coerção, repressão, exclusão, e de violência física ou simbólica do Estado.
To research about the construction of the imagination of the brazilian woman in the west frontier of Rio Grande do Sul from what was revealed by the newspapers of the period that goes from 1890 to 1910, was a task that filled itself of social relevance by intending to contribute in the reflexion and studies made about the constitution of the feminine’s subjectivity in Brazil. At the end of the XIX century and the beggining of the XX, Brazil went through a series of transformations that implied in architectural modifications, changes on the work relations and even on people’s leisure. This transformations go from the opening of avenues, destruction of tenements, even scientific isolation and the charge for ethical values and moral postures, specially from women. By investigating the feminine imaginary I could prove that the women from the west frontier of Rio Grande do Sul were discriminated against and, even so, many of them fought for their space, not letting themselves to be moulded by the morality standards current on the society. I have as thesis, that the woman form the west frontier of Rio Grande do Sul learnt, by the contextual need of the time, to develop her own subjectivity construction strategies, that does not reduce her to the representation shown by popular imaginary, enunciated in the documents of traditional historiography and sung in verse and prose in an idealized way. In that sense, I hold based in Michael Foucalt, that the action of the micropowers of subjetcion and docility of the bodies by the exercise of the moralizer and disciplinating power is more noticeable than the negative effects of the powers of coertion, repression, exclusion, physic and symbolic violence from the State. |
