| Resumen: | O presente estudo, vinculado à linha de pesquisa Violência, Crime e Segurança Pública do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências Criminais da PUCRS, busca analisar a atuação da mídia durante o Caso Daudt, principalmente na etapa das investigações. Para isso, visa avaliar o trabalho por ela praticado na elaboração das notícias e até que ponto era relevante publicar tais acontecimentos, em todas as etapas do caso. As reportagens demonstram como foi a atuação dos jornalistas ao noticiar o caso, em que pontos ocorreram erros durante as investigações, a batalha entre os principais jornais da época para alcançar o maior número de vendas e até que ponto a mídia chegou para divulgar os fatos. As intrigas e disputas de poder na polícia civil gaúcha dividiram as investigações, todos os fatos amplamente divulgados, com declarações polêmicas e acusações sérias entre os delegados. Assim, o estudo realizado nos jornais tornou-se a principal ferramenta para análise da atuação da mídia no caso Daudt, que foi, sem dúvida, o maior julgamento do século XX, na história do Rio Grande do Sul, em que houve um envolvimento de todos os Poderes estatais, quais sejam, Legislativo, Executivo e Judiciário, para a resolução daquele conflito amplamente fiscalizado e tumultuado pela mídia.
The present study, linked to Violence, Crime and Public Safety Research Program Graduate in Criminal Sciences PUCRS line, seeks to analyze the role of the media during the event Daudt, especially in the stage of investigation. For this, we aim to evaluate the work performed by it in the preparation of news and to what extent it was relevant to publish these events, at all stages of the case. The reports demonstrate how was the performance of journalists in reporting the case, in which points were errors during the investigation, the battle between the major newspapers of the time to reach the largest number of sales and the extent to which the media arrived to publicize the facts. The intrigues and power struggles in the state's civilian police divided the investigations, all facts widely publicized, with controversial statements and serious accusations among the delegates. Thereby, the study in the newspapers has become the main tool for analyzing the role of the media in the case Daudt, which was undoubtedly the greatest trial of the twentieth century in the history of Rio Grande do Sul, where there was an involvement of all State Governments, namely, legislature, executive and judiciary, to resolve that conflict troubled and largely supervised by the media. |
