| Abstract: | The main objective of the present essay is to bring up the possibilities to describe and interpret the community communication, based on the knowledge about the several possibilities to understand the contemporary communities. For so, we have debated the ideas from Ferdinand Tönnies and his classic theory named Gemeinschaft und Gesellshaft, in which he presents the dichotomy between the community and the society. After that we have gone through the studies of postmodern theorists who work on/study the social transformations/changes, among the principal ones we highlight Zygmunt Bauman and his ideas of liquid modernity, Michel Maffesoli and the neoliberalism, and Manuel Castells and his theories of place’s space and flow’s space. In order to make some archaeology about the term “community communication”, we have made a brief bibliography review utilizing the Regina Festa and Carlos Silva’s work, and also the Christa Berger’s. Going straight to the discussion about community communication we have got support from the Raquel Paiva’s studies/work, she is considered to be the first theorist to give the community communication a sociological and really community focus. All those theories have been discussed willing to clarify the changes in the human sociability and to understand the social context that we are living in. Going through the idea of communities territorially linked/bonded until the virtual communities, we have explored the main possibilities to understand what would be a community life nowadays. Going forward, we have made use of the thought of the author Raquel Paiva and proposed a dialogue between her theories and our ideas, in order to contribute to this new field/area of study which is called community communication. Eventually we have made a proposition of the possibilities to understand the community concept for the social values of Brazil, based on the work of the social anthropologist Roberto DaMatta and his ideas about the several social roles that Brazilians play in places like home, the streets and the another world.
A dissertação tem como objetivo principal fazer uma discussão sobre as possibilidades de conceituar e interpretar a comunicação comunitária, partindo do entendimento sobre as várias possibilidades de se compreender as comunidades contemporâneas. Para isso discorremos sobre as idéias de Ferdinand Tönnies e sua teoria clássica intitulada Gemeinschaft und Gesellshaft, onde ele apresenta a dicotomia entre comunidade e sociedade. Depois passamos aos estudos de teóricos pós-modernos que trabalham as transformações sociais, entre os principais destacamos Zygmunt Bauman e suas idéias da modernidade líquida, Michel Maffesoli e o neotribalismo, e Manuel Castells com as teorias de espaço de lugar e espaço de fluxo. Para fazer uma arqueologia sobre o termo comunicação comunitária, fizemos uma breve revisão bibliográfica utilizando o trabalho de Regina Festa e Carlos Silva, e também de Christa Berger. Entrando diretamente na discussão sobre comunicação comunitária nos apoiamos nas obras de Raquel Paiva, esta considerada a primeira teórica a dar um enfoque sociológico, e decididamente comunitário, sobre a comunicação comunitária. Todas essas teorias foram discutidas com o objetivo de aclarar as mudanças na sociabilidade humana e entender o contexto social que estamos vivendo. Passando pela idéia de comunidades territorialmente ligadas até comunidades virtuais, exploramos as principais possibilidades de entendimento sobre o que seria uma vida comunitária na atualidade. Adiante, entramos com o pensamento da autora Raquel Paiva e traçamos um diálogo entre suas teorias e nossas idéias, afim de contribuir para o entendimento deste novo campo de estudos da comunicação que é denominado comunicação comunitária. Por último fizemos uma proposição das possibilidades de entender o conceito comunitário para os valores sociais do Brasil, baseando-nos na obra do antropólogo social Roberto DaMatta e suas idéias sobre os diferentes papéis sociais que os brasileiros possuem em ambientes como a casa, a rua e o outro mundo. |
