| Resumo: | O objetivo do trabalho foi comparar, radiograficamente, nos sentidos mésio-distal (MD) e vestíbulo-lingual (VL), a qualidade das obturações realizadas com as técnicas de condensação lateral, técnica híbrida e sistema Thermafil. Utilizaram-se 30 pré-molares inferiores humanos extraídos, portadores de canal radicular único. Os dentes foram preparados segundo a técnica coroa-ápice, e divididos randomicamente em três grupos de 10 elementos cada. No grupo A obturou-se com a técnica da condensação lateral, no grupo B com a técnica híbrida, e no C com o sistema Thermafil. Depois de obturados, os dentes foram radiografados tanto no sentido mésio-distal quanto no vestíbulo-lingual, e as radiografias analisadas com lupa por três examinadores que atribuíram escores para cada radiografia. Não houve diferença estatisticamente significante entre as técnicas independente do sentido dos raios-X. Na técnica híbrida, quando se compararam os terços do canal radicular entre si, houve diferença entre o terço cervical que mostrou melhor qualidade de obturação do que o apical.
The objective was to compare, radiographically, in mesiodistal (MD) and buccolingual (BL) directions, the quality of fillings performed with the lateral condensation techniques, hybrid technique and Thermafil system. It was used 30 extracted human mandibular premolars with a single root canal. The teeth were prepared according to the crown-down technique, and divided randomly into three groups of 10 elements each. In the group A the fillings were performed with lateral condensation technique, in the group B with the hybrid technique, and in group C with Thermafil system. After the fillings, radiographs were taken both in the mesialdistal and buccolingual directions, and the radiographs were analyzed using a magnifying glass by three examiners who scored each radiograph. There was no statistically significant difference between the techniques regardless of X-rays direction. In the hybrid technique, when comparing the root canal thirds of each other, there were differences between the cervical third that showed better quality of filling than the apical filling. |
