Avaliação de medicações intracanal utilizadas na terapia de revascularização: estudo in vitro

Abstract

Com o objetivo de complementar o desenvolvimento radicular de dentes permanentes imaturos necróticos, o tratamento de revascularização tem se tornado alvo de muitos estudos. Por terem paredes curtas e frágeis, estes dentes não devem ser instrumentados. Sendo assim, devem ser descontaminados com o uso de medicações intracanal, que atualmente podem ser a base de antibióticos (metronidazol, minociclina e ciprofloxacina) ou a base de Hidróxido de cálcio (Ca(OH)2). Sabendo-se da existência de células mesenquimais indiferenciadas responsáveis pela formação da polpa e da raiz, julga-se necessário avaliar o quanto as medicações usadas no interior do canal podem ser consideradas lesivas a essas células. Dessa maneira, esse trabalho tem o objetivo de investigar o potencial citotóxico e a influencia no potencial de diferenciação sobre as células, assim como a capacidade das medicações em reduzir a população microbiana no canal radicular.

In order to complement the root development of immature permanent necrotic teeth, revascularization treatment has become the target of many studies. Because they have short and fragile walls, these teeth should not be instrumented. Therefore, they should be decontaminated with the use of intracanal medications, which currently may be the basis of antibiotics (metronidazole, minocycline and ciprofloxacine) or calcium hydroxide base. Knowing the existence of undifferentiated mesenchymal cells responsible for the formation of pulp and root, is considered necessary to evaluate how the medications used inside the canal can be considered harmful to these cells. Thus, the objective of this work is to investigate the cytotoxic potential and the influence of differentiation potencial on the cells, as well as the capacity of the microbial medications in the root canal site.
