Da boca do lixo para o mundo: direção de arte, direção de fotografia e semiótica na narrativa do filme musical “Sonho”

Abstract

A presente monografia tem como objetivo avaliar elementos de direção de arte, direção de fotografia e semiótica presentes no filme musical autobiográfico “Sonho” (BERNARDT, 2021) e compreender como a direção de arte e direção de fotografia contribuem para essa narrativa. O trabalho tem caráter qualitativo, e as técnicas são as de pesquisa bibliográfica e documental seguidas pela análise de conteúdo e análise semiótica. A fundamentação teórica é baseada, principalmente nos estudos de Joly (1996), Santaella e Nöth (1997), LoBrutto (2002), Barnwell (2004), Souza (2005), Souza (2006), Corrêa (2007), Fantin (2007), Carvalho (2008), Conter e Kilpp (2008), Júnior e Soares (2008), Santaella (2008), Facina (2009), Haussen (2009), Janotti (2009), Faro (2010), Kalinak (2010), Mascelli (2010), Mercado (2011), Alves (2012), Cardoso (2012), Shorter (2012), Lanzoni (2013), Hamburguer (2014), Landau (2014), Hall (2015), Pereira e Miranda (2016), Butruce (2017), Junqueira (2017), Paula e Serni (2017), Pereira (2017), Sijll (2017), Takeuchi (2017), Araujo (2018), Hoser (2018), Scansani (2019), Silva e Henriques (2020), Brown (2022) e Lessa, Gomes e Freitas (2022). Após a análise foi possível verificar como a direção de arte e direção de fotografia contribuem com a narrativa, além de explorar os signos presentes no filme musical “Sonho” (BERNARDT, 2021). A análise feita sobre a obra contribui para a área da comunicação pela identificação da atribuição de sentidos às imagens através das técnicas de direção de arte e direção de fotografia, somando para a narrativa e para a interpretação da história. Seus efeitos sobre a imagem vão além do simples embelezamento: conferem à imagem uma carga emocional e sensorial; contribuem com a narrativa; contextualizam os personagens; promovem a reflexão; e conduzem a leitura e interpretação dos espectadores. Também foi possível observar como o filme “Sonho” (BERNARDT, 2021) e a música “Sonho” (COALA RECORDS, 2021) contribuem para conscientização e representação.

The following monograph aims to evaluate elements of art direction, photography direction and semiotic in the autobiographical musical film “Sonho” (BERNARD, 2021) and understand how the art direction and photography direction contribute to this narrative. The essay’s nature is qualitative, and the techniques utilized are bibliographic and documentary research, followed by content and semiotics analysis. After the analysis, it was possible to verify how the art direction and photography direction contribute to the narrative, in addition to exploring the signs present in the musical film “Sonho” (BERNARDT, 2021). The analysis made on the work contributes to the area of communication by identifying the attribution of meanings to the images through the techniques of art direction and photography direction, adding to the narrative and to the interpretation of the story. Its effects on the image go beyond simple embellishment: they give the image an emotional and sensorial charge; contribute to the narrative; contextualize the characters; promote reflection; and lead to the reading and interpretation of the spectators. It was also possible to observe how the film “Sonho” (BERNARDT, 2021) and the song “Sonho” (COALA RECORDS, 2021) contribute to awareness and representation.
