Unidade de aprendizagem sobre insetos: avaliando uma proposta metodológica para o ensino fundamental

Abstract

Este trabalho de pesquisa tem como objetivo a (re)construção de conceitos e conhecimentos sobre insetos através da construção e desenvolvimento de uma Unidade de Aprendizagem, procurando envolver os alunos e despertando-lhes o interesse pelo assunto. Para esta pesquisa, obteve-se depoimentos dos alunos de 6a série, de uma Escola Municipal de Guaíba, através de dois questionários. O primeiro instrumento trouxe as informações para que se pudesse construir a Unidade de Aprendizagem de acordo com as pré-concepções dos alunos. Já o segundo, aplicado apenas aos alunos líderes dos grupos, mostrou aspectos referentes à avaliação das atividades desenvolvidas durante o processo. A metodologia de análise utilizada para examinar os depoimentos foi uma Análise de Conteúdo. Partindo desta análise foi possível construir alguns capítulos da dissertação. Foi pertinente, também, fazer uma abordagem crítica da atual dinâmica educacional para poder melhor contextualizar esta pesquisa, ressaltando a importância da educação continuada para professores e propondo uma proposta metodológica diferente da tradicional, valorizando os conhecimentos préviosdos alunos e despertando-lhe o interesse para o aprender por prazer. A pesquisa teve repercussões não apenas entre os alunos sujeitos da pesquisa, mas também em nível de escola e da Secretária Municipal de Educação.

This research work has the purpose to (re)construct the concepts and knowledge about insects through the construction and development of a Learning Unit, trying to involve the students arousing their interest about the subject. For this research, we gathered the students’ statements from the 6th degree of a Municipal School from Guaíba City, by means of two questionnaires. The first instrument brought the information that allows us to construct the Learning Unit according to the students’ pre-conceptions. The second instrument, performed with a group of few students, showed different aspects referring to the evaluation of the developed activities during the process. The analysis methodology used to examine the statements was a content analysis. Based on this analysis it was possible to construct some dissertation chapters. It was also pertinent to make a critical approach of the educational dynamic to be able to better context this research, sticking out the importance of the continuous education for teachers, and proposing a methodological propose different from the traditional, valuating the previous knowledge of students and arousing their interest in learning for pleasure. The research presented repercussion not only among the subject students of the research but also at school level as well as of the Municipal Secretariat of Education.
