| Abstract: | A presente dissertação aborda a problemática da relação entre fé e cultura no mundo atual, a partir dos escritos de Joseph Ratzinger. A pesquisa leva em consideração os escritos de Ratzinger, enquanto teólogo num primeiro momento, e os seus escritos depois de eleito Papa. O texto parte dos conceitos de fé e cultura encontrados nos escritos do autor, que são premissas para acompanhar o seu raciocínio. São apresentadas as suas reflexões no que diz respeito aos principais aspectos que levam a uma dicotomia entre fé e cultura e, ao mesmo tempo, resgata dos escritos de Ratzinger/Bento XVI os elementos que podem aproximar estas dimensões do ser humano. Tendo em vista a amplitude do tema e a vasta bibliografia do autor, optou-se por dar destaque aos aspectos que são mais enfatizados por Ratzinger e que apresentam maior incidência sobre o mundo atual. Assim, elementos como individualismo, relativismo, razão e progresso são trazidos para discussão, em confronto com o conceito cristão de pessoa, a dignidade humana, a centralidade em Cristo e aproximação entre fé e mundo científico-tecnológico.
This dissertation addresses the problematic of the relationship between faith and culture in the world today, based on the writings of Joseph Ratzinger. The research takes into account the writings of Ratzinger, as a theologian at first, and his writings after elected Pope. The text starts from the concepts of faith and culture found in the author's writings, which are premises to follow his reasoning. His reflections are presented on the main aspects that lead to a dichotomy between faith and culture and, at the same time, rescues from the writings of Ratzinger / Benedict XVI the elements that can bring these dimensions closer to the human being. In view of the breadth of the theme and the author's extensive bibliography, it was decided to highlight the aspects that are most emphasized by Ratzinger and which have a greater impact on the world today. Thus elements such as individualism, relativism, reason and progress are brought to discussion, in contrast to the Christian concept of person, human dignity, the centrality in Christ and the approximation between faith and the scientifictechnological world. |
